Fact 102: Tom Nook *isn't* a landlord. Landlords rent out property, Tom Nook builds houses and sells them. The money you pay him is for the resources needed to build and expand your home. Fact 103: Tom Nook *isn't* a villain. If he was then you'd have a set deadline for your debt and be charged interest if you miss those deadlines. Fact 104: According to his dialogue in Happy Home Designer, Tom Nook came from poverty having lived in a literal stump for most of his youth before fixing it up and selling it for a profit to move up in the world. It's implied that this is why he's so happy to help you the character, because you the character are also coming from nothing.

So according to my research: In Japanese folklore, the tanooki (or known as the dog raccoon) is known for being a trickster and transforming. Also used in Super Mario when Mario can use the tanooki suit. Another animal in this folklore is the kitsune, or the fox. And who is a fox? Redd is a fox. If confused, I’ll briefly explain: Canonically, Redd and Tom where good friends. Till one day Redd scams him, and Tom falls into not only debt, but depression because of his failure. And Redd and Lyle try to scam you in the game with paintings. So what I’m saying. Tom Nook is a good guy, just he sometimes doesn’t have the right mindset.

I have a theory: animal crossing is set in the future with a war between humans and animals. Have u ever wondered why Timmy and Tommy always follow you? Or how Mabel won't leave you alone in the tailor shop? Or maybe why the other animals can eat sweets and soda all the time while we are eating fruit and turnips! The animals limit our food because of us having them as pets, you know how sometimes u eat chocolate but your pet can't have it cause it's poison to them? Well they r getting revenge. Animal crossing forces you to work and pay off loans while the other animals eat. We are slaves in animal crossing we did all the work to get k.k. slider. We did everything. We are slaves in this universe.

Tom Nook’s birthday is neat to mine. (This is from what I’ve heard of previous games and my experience with new horizons) But idk if he’s a villain, he lets you buy a house and doesn’t charge interest or set a deadline by which to pay. Here is random fact: Since it’s currently winter (well in the northern hemisphere at least) if you go to the the Nooklings store you will notice a small snowman on the cabinet where you buy supplies and wallpaper/carpets and to the Mario fans the snowman has a similar resemblance to the snowmen in Paper Mario! :)

as a pocket camp player, leaf tickets aren’t too microtransaction-y. you get them as rewards for completing tasks and levelling up, but you get enough that unless you’re playing too much you don’t need to buy them.
