101: Fixing the Idle on a Chinese 110cc ATV

I've seen bigger chainsaws, but this four stroke beast is ready to rumble across the yard if we can just get the idle adjusted correctly. It wants to die if you let off the throttle. I doubted it was bad gas, so we need to look at the carb.

I think you need to adjust the idle screw a little so it isn't idling fast enough to engage the clutch.

Great video. I have a new 110cc and It sound like its flooding out at high speeds. Is that normal.

I don't think that's normal. This one seems to run pretty well when it does run... but the tiny battery goes dead easily. Have you looked up a replacement carb?

Ours will not move. Any ideas? Battery is charged up and powers the atv but won’t move when anyone is on it

Does it idle up when you give it throttle? Could be clutch, transmission or final drive (most likely chain). Also, make sure the brake isn't locked to park it.

My son's is the 125cc version of that, his idles to high when it starts. Like its going to blow the motor. Got any ideas what would be causing this. Thanks in advance. great video by the way!!

There is some adjustment around the carb. Check that the throttle cable is moving freely and the air intake is clear... I haven't had that issue, but it sounds like an idle adjustment is set too high. Check for any screws around the carb being adjusted too far one way.

@@FabbedFun I do have one more question. Have you had any issues with the shifter slipping. I can hear it go into gear in certain positions, but the area that its supposed to go in it slips. I have taken the bolt off beside the shifter but does want to come off. I was thinking about ordering on on Amazon. Got any ideas on that one. Thank you in advance.
