Thanks for posting this video, Dr. Abramson. Coming to terms with the Shoah is one of the most challenging experiences a morally mature person can undergo. Even merely to accept that people are capable of committing such an evil is enormously testing, emotionally. But for the moral progress of the world, enormously necessary. In 1943, when Jan Karski, a Polish diplomat, told American Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter about the hell the Nazis had created in Europe, Frankfurter told him he didn't believe it. It wasn't that he thought Karski was lying. Rather, his mind and heart experienced such revulsion at the news, at learning about such a gruesome new low in human degeneracy, that they instinctively rebelled against accepting it. When I visited the Wannsee Conference House in 2009, Hannah Arendt's report was still, unfortunately, a focal point of much debate about the role Eichmann played. During his trial, he claimed repeatedly that he was "only" a low-level pencil pusher, a cog in the machine. His portrayal in the 2001 film Conspiracy unfortunately also reiterated this view. With the publication of research by Deborah Lipstadt and Bettina Stangneth, I hope that we'll soon see the end of this lie. The conviction by a German court of Irmgard Furchner, "only" a typist at the Stutthof camp, is yet another sign of recent progress. As another typist, Itzhak Stern, said to Oskar Schindler, "Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire." Again, sincerest thanks for the great good work you're doing.

You wrote about the past and some historians might be right . The difference between nobility and the common people is that nobility can trace its detailed and proven origins centuries back but common people can't . I don't know who these people' s ancestors were but nowdays they don't seem mean and cruel and for sure they don't sell slaves.so why relate them to a long gone past they are not responsable of?even young germans are not held accountable of what their granfathers did during ww2. If we don't cut the ties with the past we risk of not going forward.don't you agree ?

The Wannsee Conference was, I think, chaired by Obergruppenführer-SS Reinhard Heydrich, vice Eichmann.
@emmcee6622 жыл бұрын
Correct. Eichmann took the Minutes. The meeting only took 90 minutes, basically an “assignment of roles” to the various bureaucrats responsible for the “Final Solution”. Mass murder on an industrial scale treated as a bureaucrat project. I believe the list of Jews in each country listed one of the Baltic States as “Juden Frei”. Utterly chilling. Bless all who lost their lives and those who survived ♥️

in purely secular terms History can be split into two halves, BH and AH since it is the single most UNTHINKABLE event. Before the Holocaust and After the Holocaust. Otherwise the BC and AD division makes so much sense to me since this obscure Jewish carpenter who often spoke in riddles exposed earthlings and their ways like nobody else, like both some Magnificent Outsider from outer space and Insufferable Intruder from inner space who ultimately suffered execution for his courage and outrageous political incorrectness. " If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first." "Whoever falls on this stone will be broken into pieces but upon whom this stone falls will be crushed into powder." Every Jew carries the horrific baggage of the Holocaust like a hunchback unable to straighten himself out until Hashem Himself comes to heal the otherwise unhealable. AND THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD SHALL RETURN WITH SINGING, EVERLASTING JOY SHALL BE UPON THEIR HEADS. One of my favorite words in the English language is the rarely used word BELOVED and I have a feeling Henry Abramson may be the most beloved Lecturer in the incredible Kingdom of KZbinSTAN , accent on the E ., his greatness of mind is deeply anchored in greatness of heart.

As an Israeli, grandson of murdered family by Nazis (and in my family case, also by Ukrainian pogrom near Lviv), I claim that Europe has never really changed since 1939. I know this is a generalization but given that even now in 2022, European nations undermine Jews very right to live in their true homeland, Israel, is beyond comprehension and acceptance. It’s just one true evidence of many, that shows they have NEVER changed.

Are you kidding me? What cooperation with Nazis or Ukrainians are you talking about? My personal family was murdered near Lviv by the Ukrainian mob and the Nazis who just entered their town as part of operation Barbarossa. There is no way and no chance European, Nazis or Ukrainians can now shift the blame of the holocaust on the Jewish victims. Shame on you and your try to blame the victims.

@@TheGyn1000 Nobody shifting any blame, the question is how a Jew in right mind can cooperate with Nazis Please read carefully what I have said : a.During the WWII there were JEWISH collaborators check the name Chaim Rumkovsky and you will see some other names b.In modern era Ukraine there are Jewish oligarchs (namely Kolomoyski) openly sponsored Ukrainian Nazi militants more over he brandished slogan "жидо бандеровец" meaning a jew ( derogatory term) supporting Bandera followers. As a Jew myself I am trying to understand how is it possible to deal/cooperate with somebody who is killing your people

@@VV-go4bn don't try to hide the ill intention behind your deliberate, intentional question to create provocation as if the Jews to blame for the holocaust. in ANY nation there are small exceptions that betray their own ppl. There were British spy's for Germany, there were thousands of French collaborators including the Vichy government and there were many more. Even in current modern days spys in the US, UK, NATO ete were cought. But these are the small exceptions not representing the general population. There was no added value in your question. Your only intent, which BTW is clearly visible, was to link the Jew to the Nazi as if the Jewish victims are responsible to the holocausts. How these two names you brought are relevant as feedback to a full lecture of how a leading modern European country, systematically and methodically organized killing of other people in the 10's of millions?

It is sad that one needs to re- prove factual evidence. And i am particularly frustrated that the Jews themselves don't know their history. To gyngyn et al, Herzl's book Der JudenStaat, was first titled "Address to the Rothchilds." He then changed it to " The Jewish State, An Attempt to Solve the Jewish Problem" It was on upon completion of the work that Herzl renamed it Der Judenstaat. Zionism, isn't new.
