I am Greek and i really love Greek mythology. Even though the movie is innacurate to the actual myth, it was my comfort childhood movie. The movie and tone was fun and the music is still memorable to me even today i grew up ( I obviously watched the movie in Greek sub so it was a plus). Also the movie was drawn inspired by Ancient Greek art, the artists putted really mig effort to this no live action can match.

@@CrimsonNineTail yeah since it's most aimed for kids and teens mostly, still though it has it's charm. The original myth maybe it would be to dark for kids? I don't know Disney has a history making evil stepmothers and Hera was mostly the one making Heracle's life difficult (she was the one after all to send the snakes and so on), so I don't know why they portrayed her as a loving mother when she's actually not. But hey, it has nice music, it's fun to pass the time, and you can tell the animators putted a lot of effort and passion into this one.

Does anyone remember how that Animated TV Series "Jackie Chan Adventures" had it's own group of malevolent demonic beings called the Demon Sorcerers who each possessed magical powers and abilities derived from a different element (Fire, Sky, Moon (gravity), Thunder, Earth, Mountain, Wind, and Water)?

Έτσι όπως τα λες! Even now i grew up i love this film. I know how the original myth goes, but still the film was nicely done as a love letter to Greek mythology for the younger audiences. Now as a Greek i would love to see a correct adaptation of a Greek myth sure, but Heracles is a great film (also the movie in Greek subs rocks more people should see it in Greek sub)

@@yellohammer8571 loved it. Me and my friends played the original trilogy and my favourite was God of war 3, it had the most amazing graphics for that time. Yes we know it's not faithful to the original Greek mythology, but it was a fun game that took new liberties to make a captivating story, while also paying homage to the original myths

@@thatcactus. Well since the Hercules remake will happen inevitably, One of my biggest concerns about it is who will they get to play Hades? Because nobody could ever top James Woods performance of the character. I mean if I were in charge of that remake I would make it so that Hades is physically played by a stunt man and James Woods would play the character vocally.

In Portugal, Hades was voiced by actor Fernando Luís, who previouscly voiced both Zazu and Rafiki in the Lion King, went on to voice Pacha and Sully and, in the same year voiced Hercules in another companie's version of the movie. Zeus were voiced by the late Pedro Pinheiro, who were the voice of Scrooge McDuck. And Phill was voice by José Raposo, the voice of Pumba, Mr Patato Head and one of the Gargoyles.
