I've been a subscriber for a long time now, but very seldom have commented. There have been a lot of resin "artists" - but truth be told, they all do the same thing. You on the other hand, take what is being done and go even further with your creativity. It's not mundane, but an exciting adventure. You challenge me to think about the artistic side of resin. Thank you for all that you do and for sharing.

Glad you jumped in with the Raindrop Effect, Dan! Personally, I love raindrops and their endless conformations, and these turned quite nice! That last one was great, but I liked them all! 😊❤👍 It would be fun to use the thick UV resin and put some on the outside to look 3D!

13:40 is AWESOME! I was wondering if you could prop up the mold in advance...and then apply the uv resin on the slanted surface...letting gravity be an aid in the process of creating the "drops"...? I love that you're experimenting with all kinds of special effects! It strains my brain--but in a good, healthy, creative way!! 😅 Thank you for sharing! 😊

I have an idea of using a tiny bead mould curing it and placing it on the pendent mould as an experiment, to see how it goes if it goes to plan more can be put on the mould and cured or tiny glass beads and chameleon powder or flakes over just the bead itself what do you think of that idea? That may have been the U.V. resin, making it stick. You can absolutely damage molds if you cure it with a strong light.
@daniel..cooper
@daniel..cooper Жыл бұрын
Ah, I did think that after but have used UV in these so many times 😔
@naudiaangelica6925
@naudiaangelica6925 Жыл бұрын
@@daniel..cooper There are a bunch of possible explanations. U.V. resin getting too hot is just one. Heck, if these are old, they might just be wearing out. I just got some dragon baby molds that go inside of an egg. I made the mistake of using U.V. resin to see how they come out, and I had to get a new mold. It was the very first time I'd used that mold, but the U.V. resin was too hot for it, and it warped the mold right away. Either way, after something sticks like that, you might want to put a mark on that particular form again, so you don't get more resin pieces stuck to it.
@daniel..cooper
@daniel..cooper Жыл бұрын
@naudiaangelica6925 Yes, will definitely mark it, I think I may have used too much light as I forgot to hit record at one point so showed the light over the resin again, I think that's where I went wrong 🙈
