A good use case for this APU is for people getting started with AM5 platform and later save bucks to add a dGPU.

I wonder how the 760m would perform with FSR3 frame generation mod or Lossless Scaling... could give a huge performance increase in a lot of games
@ProYamYamPC9 ай бұрын
I’m really not too sure, I’d imagine it would be a bit mixed. AMD recommends at least 60 FPS on average before enabling FSR3 frame gen. This reduces perceived artefacts.
@retroreanimated43229 ай бұрын
@@ProYamYamPC Right. Varied results for sure. I was thinking more of LukeFz's FSR 3 Mod and with Lossless Scaling judging by a lot comments on Reddit and Steam, even guys with weak iGPUs are managing some amazing results provided they can get 30fps and lock it, with a minimal amount of ghosting.

The 8600g only have 2 use case. A home media PC or Office PC, pair it with an A620 and call it a day. Edit: Did a quick check on newegg, the 8600g is the same price as the 7600x at USD 229 right now with a free 1TB Team Group MP33 SSD. AMD cutting the top slot PCIE to PCIE4 x8 is the most idiotic thing that they can do to cut cost, it like they are expecting people to only be buying RX7600XTs or RTX 4060s. The benefit of an APU is the scalability of performance when you add a proper GPU and AMD kneecapped it straight from the factory. Frankly, i wouldn't pay anything more than the price of the 5600X(USD 155 now on newegg) for such a cut down chip. At USD 155, it will fly off the shelves. AMD shooting themselves in the foot as always.

Unless its price go lower, honestly there is no other use cases other than those two

Wish UK had those combo deals. Makes the 8600G much better value with a drive thrown in.

Patience is the key. Sooner or later the price on one inevitability goes down, so what will the naysayers say then - except maybe eat their hat when the Ryzen 8600g becomes palatable. By then, those who have been saving up, most likely will have enough funds to also spend on 2x16 DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 ram kit and an 300 watt 80+ gold rated psu, as well as a "banging" B650i mobo😎

ahhh... this reminds me of my 2200g. It served me from 2018-2021 then i got 1050ti used from a friend. I mostly played valorant and csgo. It could run around 150+ fps

I bet if you tightened those ram timings it would help with 1% lows, bit of a pain though.

I've got some Faster memory with tighter timings arriving at some point soon. These will be used for the comparison video!

Hey I have the 5600g but my games stutters a lot I thinks it my single channel 8gb ram

You really want dual channel ram on a apu, it will make a massive difference.

@@andrewmcewan9145 i see thats why i stutter so much in fortnite and apex
@Kiwing8279 ай бұрын
You will want to be at least 2x 8GB stick of ram for 5600g, it can easily give you another 50% performance. 8GB in 2024 is not enough. Even just watching KZbin and have a few background programs i'm already using 10GB. Would recommend to go all the way to 32GB (4x8GB or 2x16GB).

When this gets a price cut to £169, will be a proper bargain to jump ship to AM5. £219 is too much for a six core CPU.

I’m inclined to agree with you. It’s an impressive product, but it can always be more affordable imo. My main issue with it is the CPU the 760M graphics are attached to
