Hi everyone, We never imagined we’d be in a position where we’d have to ask for your support like this, but the reality is, due to unforeseen circumstances, we’re facing some astronomical costs in order to make a critical transition. With everything that’s happened, staying in our current situation is untenable, and we need to move quickly to a new chapter. This involves significant expenses, including the logistics of transporting the sheep, our belongings, and everything else that comes with a major life shift. We wanted to fund this on our own, but at this point, we could really use your help to make this transition as smooth as possible. Any financial support you can offer would be deeply appreciated, no matter how small. Please donate to our new Kofi campaign here: ko-fi.com/thescottishisle Thank you for always being there for us, and for understanding during this difficult time. We’re truly grateful for each and every one of you. Much love, Scott & Katie PS: You will all be coming on this journey with us! So please stay tuned

It's been a pleasure watching how you have put your hearts and souls into not just the cottage but also the surrounding land. However it looks like someone is making it all more difficult, and if they are not for you then they are against you, so maybe it's time to move on, best of luck to you both.

Well said. The landlord’s motives have changed obviously. After all the work you’d have thought they’d feel fortunate. Are they wanting a share of your KZbin revenues possibly? Would love to know the details.

We watch your videos on TV every week and are perplexed and 'lost' when you're not on ! We love the slow pace , the scenery and the way you both work away together! You took on a big commitment and project to restore that beautiful cottage , tearing down the artificial mess , only to be told that it is going to happen all over again?! You haven't got long before Winter sets in , so I hope the owner can get work underway quickly. Do you really want to stay though? There is a lot to consider , like the increasing car costs , no real public transportation etc?! But we will keep watching as long as you choose , OR are allowed to keep making the videos. The panoramic views and music , and the glimpse into your working lives , is very soothing. So stay strong both and keep smiling and look after your backs! AND what great , generous viewers you have, which ultimately is also a gift to ALL of us who love the videos 👏 PS. We loved the Iona video, the journey there and looking around the island. We visited there back in the 90's and stayed on Mull , and so it was nice to see it again! A lady that day advised us to go to Sandeil? Beach , she said not many people knew of it. We did and it was lovely! You both always have to be mindful of travelling times , but maybe you can visit it one day in the future! And Katie I love the hat that Scott bought you and I don't like pompoms either! Take care both .

Unfortunately in my experience your work gloves can either have dexterity and flexibility or durability not all 3. If you want a pair of heavy duty gloves try Shelby Pigskin Wildland/Rescue Gloves, I’m not sure if they’re available in the UK or not but these are better than you can find in the shops. If you want insulated try a pair of what we call Structural fire fighter gloves, they are not cheap but they are warm, waterproof liner, heavy duty and you can use them with hot logs etc in the fireplace.

Poor old Katie ! Do they think she’s super woman expecting her to do everything? As for the byre giving away the location of the island , who’s going to know the position of a small building in the middle of a wood? Good luck with the preservation of the cottage , it’s so lovely and deserves to be properly preserved. I presume it isn’t listed or you wouldn’t be having these problems. A lot of the Croft houses you see now are holiday let’s , it’s great to know some of the really old ones that have survived are still homes! The one we stayed in on Skye is tongue and groove boarded out which looks ok, but it would be so much better to see it back in its original state- or as near as possible ! Hope it all works out for you both! 40:38
