In this clip, Vlad and 1090 Jake discuss the circumstances surrounding Tory’s imprisonment. Tory reportedly requested a transfer to general population but is being moved to a supermax prison, a type of high-security prison 85 miles south of his current location. General population in supermax operates differently from regular prisons, in which prisoners usually share cells but are confined most of the time. In supermax, inmates are isolated, and interactions are strictly controlled. Speculations are being made that Tory might end up in protective custody due to his celebrity status, but as a first-time offender without a serious crime on his record, his repositioning to supermax, a prison usually reserved for high-risk criminals, is provoking confusion and questions about the underlying reasons for such a move.

The whole Tehachapi Supermax story didn't even make sense and Jake couldn't even figure out the hypothetical reasoning to put him there. I also read that he put in the paperwork and signed off on requesting to be on the yard and I'm sure he'll be okay. He has money to buy his protection and do easier time especially as a popular artist. Or he'll be with the Christian folks who are often left alone. It's just wildly stupid that he got 10 years instead of taking a plea where he'd have been out in a little over 2.

Tehachapi isn’t a “SUPERMAX”. There are no Supermaxes in any state only in the Feds. Also Tehachapi is a level 3 yard if I remember

The massive confusion about whether or not a Super Max is general population is hilarious. GP is everywhere administrative segregation isn't. It doesn't matter if one is locked down while the top tier is out and vice versa. The only Super Max security prison is ADX Florence Colorado ran by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. 23 and 1 is considered Maximum Security/Super Max.
