pretty sure you need to have 10.13.3 installed for it to flash apple firmware on it to change the device id from 0xd107 to 0x07b1. Not sure how her's had that right out of the box?

Thanks for this great video. I'm running Catalina with OC, installed the 10GB card, seems fine until I try to log in my NAS, then all goes to hell (Screen block, never ending wheel, force quit not working)...Cant figure out what the problem may be...Any clue that might help ? MERCI :)

there cannot be any recommendations - each file server should be configured and tweaked for each one individualy tp get the expected performance. And that's what I do, I build servers based on client's needs and expectations

Aquantia 107 - out of the box... less than 100gbp at amazon... using since 1y... the problem is... hackintosh 7-8gbps max... the same on windows... 9.9gbps (real internet, not local iperf)

Hey Theresa, well´i try a few cards and at last the Asus. But I have a problem like other. The AMD Hackintosh with a RX580 will stuck on boot with a installed 10g NIC. Any Idea? thx ;)

@@MorgonautHackintosh Thanks for your answer. I ordert a ASUS XG-C100F with SFP+ with the same Aquintia Chipset. The Hackintosh works great, of course Adobe Camera will not run, but ..ok. After installing the NIC the PC starts fine and works no issue ( boot ) under Windows and CentOS with a installed Asus oder Mellanox 10g Nic. But after booting OSX the PC hang on start up with a black screen. I try DVI and HDMI Ports on the graphic card. Did install extra *kext in clover ? Not boot issue on your side with AMD+RX580 under OSX ?

@@MorgonautHackintosh both cards using Marvell/​Aquantia AQtion AQC107 Chipset. Interesting thing: if insert a pci-e card like a nic or a sas controller to boot process will stuck in a black flickering screen. Well´i will start a test with osx 10.15.x maybe a solution. Thanks for your support.

I am using this card for a bit over 1 year and I can tell you for sure is not very good compared to others ... while it dose work natively without kexts , the transfer speed is maybe 75% of the max potential ( while using high end switch and cables )
