10kW power from Hybrid Alternator (Bi directional Motor Generator) Charging @ 48V Sprinters

Much excitement as we pushed the unit to 10kW and it could even give more than this. In the coming week, we will do a long term endurance run for hours at a time. What I didnt talk about in all the excitement is the new Scotty AI V3 you see on the back wall that is controlling the BMG. We have a different case BMG installed in a sailing boat on a yanmar engine that we will film next week. This is a big breakthrough for boats needing higher power 48V charging. The Victron 5kVA inverter in the background is connected to factory loads to drain the battery allow a longer run time.In this video we have 14kWh of batteries and we could charge these in 1.5hrs. We do introduce at the end of this video, the 10 ways the BMG plus Scotty AI can be used to charge 12V, 24V and 48V battery banks in combination. loosing 5 kw in the process, and heating the alternator up to 77 degrees. pretty sure it'll cook if you would run this alternator under the hood of a car 🤣 (66% efficiency.........)

Its not a conventional alternator. Its a bi-directional motor generator at 90% efficiency. We start our long run tests today. I dont see any difficulty with 8kW continuous and then add Scotty from 12V factory alternator and on a Sprinter we will get 10kW continuous.

the 5kw loss is the 3phase motor loss that's driving the alternator , you can see this as Grid load / AC load

Typically large motors have an efficiëncy of 88-95%. So what you are saying is ridiculous. It's okay to agree with me that this is a hoax . A loss of 30% is definitely not good 😂
