Pat Shagholi is 10th Planet Jui Jitsu's newest prodigy, winning the Absolute qualifier tournament, with 4 submissions and 6 wins at 16 YEARS OLD!!! My best friend Brandon lim says it all the time, "Our sport is being taken over by teenagers'' Though Pat's grappler with a very particular set of skills, armed with insane confidence, remarkable leglock defense, a love for countering his opponents. As a counter leglocker myself, I can say with certainty, the Adult Slayer will be a fan favorite on the big stage this weekend. Hope you Enjoy. Keep your eyes out for Part 2!!

Yeah but 10th planet isn't about teaching real jujitsu. They teach this competition bullshit that Eddie bravo came up with. And it only works in the ring it would never work in a real fight. So these guys they think their warriors or something. They don't care about each other they're not a team. They're all about the clout and the money. And you know who cares that these adults that paid all this money to be taught jiu-jitsu are being thrown to some 16-year-old fat kid because Eddie bravo claims he's a prodigy. Jiu jitsu is in such a sad state now. It's why I don't want to continue to devote my soul to it. Did I mention that 10th planet Jiu-Jitsu wouldn't work on the street? The biggest problem is that he's clearly cranking full force (if not even harder) AFTER the opponent has tapped like 5 times. Like, you can see *5 taps* and THEN he hips-in even HARDER and cranks even more and THEN lets go! THAT is truly unacceptable. I also agree that his general conduct is bad sportsmanship, but the part where he very clearly seems to be CHEATING is when he continues to crank or even doubles down AFTER the person has tapped. A millisecond too late one time by accident....maybe... but repeatedly? THAT'S what deserves you a knee breakage from someone else. He should watch himself and learn to fuckin act right.

I have personally trained with Eddie Bravo and used to be on the 10th Planet Fight team when it was at Tapout LA. I did an in house tournament while training there against my own 10th Planet Teammates as a white belt. Scott Ross, the guy refereeing in this video was the guy refereeing that earlier tournament I did. I won the last match I did and was injured in the first match I did by one of Eddies up and coming stars and still competed. 10th Planet BJJ is not only a legitimate style, it’s kinda a style of its own that went away from some of the old traditions that the Gracies “IE” instilled into the sport and art itself. We have to remember at the end of the day that BJJ isn’t figure skating and it is also not what it originally was: Newaza of Judo. Although we in the west are evolving the sport forward in many ways that the older traditions disapprove, we have to look at this style for what it is: dangerous and legit - the proof is in all of the torn ACL’s etc. The best thing all of us can do is adapt, learn, improvise, keep training, and we will be better for it and overcome. Hats off to ALL the guys in the video and hespect!! Oss! (Isaiah Grant - a current Purple Belt in BJJ...)

They are thinking they'll have another second to slip their heel or roll or counter, but they don't, they try to hold onto the match, they can tap whenever they want. people are upset because he is injuring the opponents and showing no remorse for it. that is very very different from having a crushing left hook, its not a good comparison. he is more like a race driver is consistently running other cars off the course, and risk causing other drivers injuries or destroying their vehicle which puts them out of competition for a long time.

Buddy. A ko is incomparable to altering the functionality of one’s leg for the rest of their life. He has control when going for these subs, but the utter lack of compassion for someone’s livelihood is disturbing. It’s the honorable/respectable thing to do to give your opponent a window to tap. Now if you do and they still decide not to tap, leading to a break, that’s on them. But man I hate to see a 2nd Palhares.

Bro this kid is a danger to the community. To feel joy in ripping a knee apart is .. sociopathic no ? Jesus I hope someone gets thru to him before the worse happens ..

Danaher saw that BJJ understimated leg locks and started to gain success on that. But that was 6-7 years ago. Now trends move toward pressure passing, and positional dominance as well as wrestling and strong base. Also leg lock defences evolved immensely

I don't think you know what "world class" means. Otherwise you wouldn't be talking.
