A major winter storm produced significant heavy snow and high wind in Bismarck, North Dakota on November 29th, 2016, resulting in auto accidents and hazardous travel.

A storm like that,here in the North East (CT) would be considered a "Nor Easter"..I drove a Big Rig for nearly 32 years and have been in plenty of situations like this. I'm SO GLAD I got off the road a few years ago..now I just look out my front window and say to my parrot's..."So nice to be home and inside with you guys" lol.

normally highways like this with white out and poor conditions are shut down by the state.

if they wanna go out and travel in the cold and snow and poor conditions that their problem they need to remember if they get stuck, stranded u name it they will have to pay for a rescue..

It will close intermittently, these conditions can last and often they do. Can’t shut down a highway for too long, our stores empty out and our schools run out of food. Not horrible though as things are never allowed to escalate too far. Travel is inconvenient but most of these conditions are doable.
