If I was Phelps and saw this video, I would be so proud! Imagine getting a video of your defeats on the OLYMPIC channel.

@@plastikana "There is a big, big, big difference ... between touching that pad and pushing the pad," said Omega Timing's general manager at the time, Christophe Berthaud. "It's for sure-and the video also shows it-that Cavic touched the pad before Phelps, but he was sliding while Phelps was rushing on the pad ... and the difference between them is really a hundredth of a second. All the records ... in the system show this." you don't just have to touch the wall to win the race. even age groupers know that if you don't hit the wall hard enough it won't register

Milorad Cavic did deserve to win gold medal in 100m at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, he reached the end first, only Phelps's clock was first stopped due to the minor force with which Cavic touched his wall compared with the greater strength applied by Phelps when touching his.
@sleepysalsw4 жыл бұрын
Sal.W Still, race result is based on who touches the sensor on the wall first. That's how Olympic swimming works.
@JosueChoqueGutierrez4 жыл бұрын
@@sleepysalsw. Cavic touched his wall first, he won. It's as simple as that. This knowledge makes irrelevant the fact that due to technical circumstances they gave the gold medal to Phelps. We know the true winner of that race is Cavic.
