We are getting ready to list our house for sale. I just tested Alabaster on the wall- I think it will work great for the whole house.The SW Emerald matte wall paint covered a deep red in 3 coats - impressive.

I had my new build painted SW Alabaster and trim in SW High Reflective white. The lesson learned is make sure the LRV is closer to 20 points from each other. And do not have ceilings in Extra White with Alabaster walls…that blue undertone will give the Alabaster a neon wash in certain light. I’m having the walls repainted in SW Emerald line White Sesame.

Absolutely! Alabaster and extra white together are a big no-no! The undertones clash and alabaster looks slightly yellow while extra white appears blue.

@@nish.onlineinteriordesign the builders painter painted our ceiling with that without our permission, my heart sank. The wouldn’t re paint it. It’s only noticeable in one area where the sun streams in. It’s all about those undertones!

Yes I do! Another option is SW High Reflective White on trims :)

Greek Villa too is a pretty whole house color :) would definitely be one of my favourites for a warm-toned home :)

I am embarking on a whole house paint redo using Drift of Mist with Pure White trim. I’m excited to see how it turns out. Now I have Softer Tan with RLV of 62, so I bet this new paint will make my house look bigger, since it has an LRV of 69! Wish me luck.

2-story house w/lots of SoCal natural light…new floor tile is Pietre Ligure Avorio, a light-colored tile with slight gray and beige tints. Also have some dark green/black/beige quartzite kitchen countertops coming in. Need a “whole house” base color…NOT GRAY. Possibles “Shoji White”, “White Sesame”, or “Canvas Tan”, or “Natural Tan”? Sorry so confused….thanks for any help‼️ Great channel 👍

I have dark hardwood floor with good natural lighting and looking to paint drift of mist with ultra white trim. Would this color look good on dark wood flooring?

Love your content! What are your thoughts on a color drench of SW alabaster? Emerald washable matte on walls, emerald semi gloss on doors & trim, with a cashmere flat on ceilings? Split plan/semi open concept with 10 ft ceilings with 16 ft cathedral in foyer, formal living & dining rooms. Plenty of natural light (mostly north & west) Thank you!!!

I have one built in the dining and living room and one fireplace. Same design as above. Looking to use Alabaster all over. Would it look too much to use Alabaster semi gloss on the built ins also? Or use another color?

I was thinking of SW Sea Salt for my whole beach front condo with pure white ceilings and pure white kitchen but you are saying don't use something with blue/green undertones?

Will extra white trim and ceiling go with Drift of Mist? Large open concept first floor 17 foot ceilings with lots of light. Thinking of painting most of my home Drift of Mist; builder painted everything in Sherwin Williams Extra White. Thank you.

Sherwin Williams Pure White is good! Even Natural White, Alabaster, Greek Villa, or Shell White :)

Alabaster is a creamy off white paint color which isn’t too stark or bright. Meanwhile, Greek villa is a warm off white bright color which has a tinge of yellow undertone.
