My weirdest experience with my big head was going to an EEG examination. Naturally, I needed the biggest, practically unused cap they had, and it just barely fit my head. The nurse(?) had to do some extra work with it so I jokingly apologized for my huge head. THEN she tried to tell me “No, you don’t have a huge head at all! We’re just unprepared for girls with such pretty thick hair!” Like, no miss, I need the largest frame for my prescription glasses. Among the male sizes. Ear muffs can’t reach my ears from any angle cause they’re so far apart. I officially have a HUGE noggin. I don’t feel insecure about it though. If people comment on my big head, I just say, yep it’s for my huge brain.

I'm also a woman with a head that doesn't fit even in most hats in the men's section of a store. My head is not only huge in side profile, it's very obviously huge in front profile. My neck is short and even though I'm 175 cm most people think I'm shorter because the proportions are off. When I went to gravitron type rides with my friends as a child, I was unable to lift my head from the wall and could not understand how my friends did it so easily. When I was in my 20s, I went with my husband to basically children's ride at the mall, it was just some pods travelling on a rail in a circle, moving slightly up and down and also rotating, but much slower than gravitron. However that was enough for me to be unable to hold up my head, it was just falling backwards or sideways depending on the direction the pods were moving, it was such a cringefest! Even little kids around us weren't having this problem. My husband tried to hold my head with his hands which made hings even weirder, and the staff working there seemed super confused and worried for me😆

I feel your pain! I'm considered a 3xl or 8 and 1/8 or 8 1/4 hat size. Optical illusion style as stated haha. The last time I fit into a regular baseball cap, I was 11, and it was already considered a large hat. Since then, I found a Tilly hat that actually had fit, but was labeled a size 8. The other size 8s on the shelf did not fit.. so I bought it without questioning it. I still have it about 8 years later. Oh and gigantic touques.

They don't make my size, in nearly anything, in any department stores. Hats from major retailers don't sit right even at a large. I don't like to wear ball caps as much as other styles so we found a haberdasher that makes hats in a larger range of sizes. They had ones that would have fit someone even larger than me, which just sounds like it would lead to neck strain. I've always been an extra large guy, Tall shirts, long pants, size 14 shoes since middle school.

There are two more you missed: -When you do wear a baseball-type hat, it leaves a mark on your forehead when you take it off and people think you hurt yourself. -Winter hats rarely stay down. The start off fine, but a few seconds later they rise up so they are not keeping anything warm and if you don't keep fixing it, they will pop right off. I once had a female pediatrician tell my 6 year old son, "Well, you have a big head like your daddy". So I responded, "well you have big thighs like your mommy."

Same I had to buy a riding helmet even though I only went riding once every two years as the riding school helmets were for normal sized heads

I ride horses and although my head is huge the long way (optical illusion one), I'm 4'11" so I still technically have a small head, however my head was still HUGE from the side view. Because of this I had these really dorky helmets that were way too big for me, and for show helmets I had to push my helmet up to the top of my forehead or else itd give me severe headaches (I almost passed out once from the pressure)

I also just want to mention that if you have a big head, but the rest of your body is in good health, you have so much more to be grateful for. Working in hospitals, it'll humble you about having a big head. Life is too short. And the rite person will love you for you and not even mind the size of your head
