There will likely be a whole host of new mountain bikes released in 2024. From trail, enduro, XC and hardtail options, not forgetting all the new e-bikes that will also land into those categories. Izzo revamped for 23' with UDH. Would be interesting to see a 2025 Flex Stay Samurai Blade. Hopefully the vertical shock configuration continues.

what about the yeti 165? that’s been out a while. be cool if they added some rear travel as per usual, maybe sb170-175 and offered a mullet option, that also accepted a full crown DH fork as an option.

I think we will see more mid assist "SL" ebikes, and new motor from Shimano in this segment. Maybe not this year but def over the next couple.

I think there will be just a new ransom and spark will be updated next year. Problems are slow sales and that will slow done updating of the bikes. You can still buy spark 2022 models and everything is still in stock. There is still plenty of Izzos in stock too.

I'd say the YT Decoy will most likely get a redesign.

I'm not sure what to expect. With stock levels still high, a used market with incredible deals and bike geo that's been excellent for 3 years now I'd be surprised to see many new bikes release this year. I'd think brands would want to hold on for another year, clear out old inventory and sit on those developments until the Industry recovers a bit. It's hard to release a new bike when I can buy last years models for 40% off still. Just wait, spring sales will be up and running in no time.

Why would YT change the Izzo to a flex stay design? It would make the rear too harsh for a bike that already excels in climbing and is a very good descender. Anyway, I see the new 2024 models are there are no changes to the frame, but prices sure;y shot up after the amazing Black Friday sales.

Nothing wrong with the Spur! Indeed it’s probably the definitive down-country bike. Also, flex stays are a good way to cut costs.

@@MBRmagazine yes the Spur is a fantastic bike, but more XC than trail, while the Izzo is more trail than XC.

I agree that YT needs a skinny e bike. I also think the Decoy full power needs a ground up redo for the 29 and MX. it has been five years now. Canyon is so far ahead of YT and so many other brands with e bikes.

The larger capacity battery has given the Decoy a new lease of life. The main issue with it now is the limited bottle space.

The ONLY thing I want to see is the MTB price bubble to burst. The prices are completely out of control and unwarranted for bicycles. I can buy a top end dirt bike, you know...those things with motors, for LESS than a current mid-range MTB. Just stupid. I'd love to hear the "why" these bicycle companies feel the low-end parts, compared to the beefed-up versions on motorcycles, should cost twice as much? Oh wait, they needed to gouge their customers due to the supply shortage during the "pandemic". We are in a recession and the smaller bike companies are going out of business because they can't sell their bikes. Big companies are losing a massive amount of money yet refuse to lower prices back to where they were because they fear it will devalue their products. C'mon man!
