He was just so funny. He even said things I didn't always like but it still made me laugh.

I used to screenshot my maps to use offline, then I realized a year ago that there is an offline map option on Google maps, what a great invention.

I'm based in Phnom Penh at the moment and when I travel to neighbouring countries and go back to Australia, I have one carry on suitcase and a small backpack so I don't have to lug around too much. Your videos crack me up at times and I'd love to see a backpackers part 2 video because when you talk about them my sides really split with laughter!!!!

Google maps has offline maps. Can download sections of a location you know you will be in. Other problems with that, is battery life on your device. :))

I have a pdf version of the good old lonely planet on my phone. You have access to maps, embassy info and a small dictionary besides city and hotel info. I downloaded this from the web.

Good video, I've been to over 30 countries for work. Here are just a few suggestions: 1. At least 1 roll of emergency toilet paper, when in places like Thailand bars, I didnt always see toilet paper. As for knifes, I would suggest a spring loaded flip knife, it opens quickly, in case someone attacks you. 1 bottle of water, and some dried snacks, in case you cant find either. As for doing laundry, I understand the bathroom method. but when changing countries, i would often just toss the socks, and undies before changing countries, just buy some new when you get to your next country if possible ,If you got some extra money. As for cell phone usage from the usa, some companies have international coverage, so I'd hook it up before leaving. Brian w. {the nice guy that sent you the ear plugs and ear muffs in cambodia.} I also believe getting some fresh clothes, shirts/ jeans etc would be cheaper in mexico, if you want to change your wardrobe up.

Jeans, sewing kit, safety pins, scissors, plastic cutlery, Sox yes.... , sports deodorant so your clothes don't smell even after you've washed them. Some plastic bags, hand sanitisers. First aid kit, best to get a better quality one rather than one from a thrift store.

Phnom Penh is a big town ....unless he specifies the area / suburb , you just can't figure out where he was . Siem Reap seems to be where he was staying ...this is way from P.P.
