Billy Broom making legitimate music with the flat 9! Some lovey phrases, touch, tone and timing 👌🏿 Enjoying Will Brahm too. Smooth tone and a style to match. Hard to believe he’s getting that sound out of a Stratocaster ✌️ Camille Meza is ridiculous. Very fluent 😫 Thanks very much for putting this together, it will help me a lot 😊

A tremendous group of musicians, with wonderful playing all round! I particularly enjoyed Peter Mazza's distinctive take, showing several levels of enriching the harmony of the classic blues form. His use of odd-numbered groupings gave a great tension-and-release effect to the harmonic rhythm too!

Every single one of them, is top notch, congratulations, personally, I really like Stephane Wrembel as a unique talent, in a peculiar sound style, with his note choices and structure, because even knowing that he uses so many notes, they don't sound scrambled, unpleasant, or with no correlation, or kind of out of sync like so many in jazz. Regardless that the guitar that he uses is not intended to be the cleanest, at that speed, he makes it sound very articulated. Chris Whiteman tone mellow and clean articulated notes, Mason Razavi relaxed tone and structure. Cheers

Good but jazz blues musicians dont play the real blues. They play a 12 bar jazz with some 2 5 1 and 7 chords using to much scale and a few or no one band. Blues is STV, Guy, Winter etc. and most important: If you never use a slide you Will never play blues.
@ChaseMaddox Жыл бұрын
A lot of those blues guys don't use a slide, so by your logic they're also not blues? The point you're missing is this is referring to the 'blues' form and not the 'blues' genre.
@vibewayfilms Жыл бұрын
When did B.B. use a slide? He will forever be the chairman of the blues. There is no such thing by the way as “real blues”. It is a unique expression of each player. Lightning, B.B., Stevie Ray, Muddy, Cray. They all played so very differently, but it was all the blues.
