I've been wearing the same two watches every (other) day for more than a year. I didn't know NOT wearing a watch was bad for it. I'll be sporting a new look every day until nest week. Thanx!

Not wearing a watch for one or two months is absolutely no problem as long you store it at a reasonable temperature and relative humidity (40% to 50% is just fine). Then, either wear it for some days or wind it. If it is a automatic watch make sure to move it 50 to 100 times left to right with your wrist in a gentle way. Besides that, don't worry and enjoy.😊

Happily none of these things will damage a Vostok Komandirskie or Amphibia 😂 Except forcing the winding crown past the point of resistance whilst manually winding the manual versions.

Never wear your watch in a pool as the water has aditves which will ruin the seals.

Rinse it in fresh water afterwards and you’ll be fine. It’s worked for me for the last 45 years…….
