Nothing like traveling the world’s oceans in pursuit of some delicious New Zealand ice Cream! That’s a heck of a goal. When you arrive the country should welcome you with open arms and provide you with unlimited ice cream until the end of time.

I spend 2 months of the year living in a van for work and I can appreciate a small living space. Your boat looks amazingly comfortable and cozy. I used spray foam insulation throughout the van and can attest to the fact that good insulation and ventilation removes any worries about moisture or condensation. I’m envious of you Sven, months alone at sea exploring the world, sounds absolutely amazing.

There are pillows-bags that you can fill with clothes or blankets, that might be a way to save some space? Very cosy interiors.

Looking nice and roomy!

This idea came to mind: You could cut a few horizontal slits into the support. They could act as ladder rungs to step into when climbing through, as handhold (provided the top slit is high enough that you can grip the top "rung" well), and as a place to tie down anything you store in the footwell. It would also provide some ventilation to the back of the pillows.

Hi, what material do you want for your cushions, thought about the humid environment

I agree with your bed layout. What is the width of the bed that you wedge into? Is that a measure you have experimentally tried out to fit your body? Cheers.

Why not a simple lee cloth instead of the rigid partition?

What about a back rest for your dining room/navigation seat? perhaps something removable like a companionway board in a slot?

Don't you have a moist problem with pillows and mattresses in that almost air tight environment at sea?

Wouldn’t reclining the support make it more comfortable?
@SvenYrvindExlex8 ай бұрын
It feels very good as it is. Also if reclined it would take up valuable space in the dining room

What if you leave just enough width of the headrest that you need for supporting the pillow and cut out the rest. Climbing over the new barrier seems like a good exercise and helps you keep fit. But also seems to increase the risk of injury and possibly adds unnecessary effort to move between sections.
@SvenYrvindExlex8 ай бұрын
This is just enough headrest to support the pillow. Later there be an 10 cm matrass that lift the pillow
@MrKg5548 ай бұрын
Ah, I see. Just to clarify what I suggested - make the headrest like a wave shape, lower at the starboard side and current height at port side. That way you can move over the headrest without having to hold your bodyweight mostly with hands. You can sort of slide to and from the mattress without needing much support by hands. Best wishes!

@@MrKg554 It is realy super easy to move over the headrest But thanks for the suggestion
