Is a “dual”( the word you said at the beginning) wouldn’t be “partera” in Spanish as well? .. also, have you ever had to interpret on a dentist appointment? 😄

It is “Doula”. It is not a partera or midwife because they are not medically trained. They just provide physical and mental support, coaching and the like during pregnancy for the mom and the whole family. I have done 1 way interpretation for a patients getting dental work.
