Nice video. And that was your best line. You work hard, save money, and spend upwards of $50K you should do whatever you want to YOUR bike. The question I have...since H-D is dramatically thinning out the lineup (it breaks my heart they stopped the Road King standard)...will ALL of the new models in upcoming years get "modernized" (or dropped altogether) to better compete with them metric bikes or will they always keep a few traditional "HOGS" in the lineup for old timers like me? I get it. They have been losing market share big time in recent years...and guys don't trade bikes the way they did (and like you just did) even a few years ago. They couldn't very well keep charging premium prices for aging designs so they had to do something to attract new buyers. And these are not exactly young men's bikes. You gotta work your way up the ladder and earn some real money to own them. But I hope they keep a few old school designs for the sake of legacy.

My 2020 flhtp eg has ohlins cartridges up front and rear is hd044. Price kept me from doing a an aftermarket inverted fork. Nice to see Moco doing it now. Would be interesting to see if I can just swap parts now and retrofit. Wondering if the triple tree is the same..

Great comparison Robert! I would love an ST, but I'm pretty satisfied with my CVO. Also, look into the ciro 3D frame mounted highway pegs. I have them on mine and they are fantastic. They don't scrape. I tested this out and my floorboards scrape before the pegs. The mount replaces the front floorboard bracket.

Great review! Loved the clear presentation of the + and - for each bike and your comments about the haters out there. Yes they can be very close to you and even pretend to be your friends. It is YOUR motorcycle. Do whatever you want! So true… I pre ordered mine in black and will be getting the 2 up seat and rear speakers right away. Will add a sissy bar as soon as they offer the new brackets for the brake cylinders. I'll be getting a 24 model soon. No ST for me, but I will be getting the new style engine and bag guards. Also, I will need some TAB's. I've put 55000 miles on my current bike with TAB exhaust, love the sounds and performance I got with those.

Enjoy your new Road Glide CVO ST. IMO, it's the best bike that HD has come out with in years. I'm not a HD guy mainly due to the selling practices of the dealers here in north Georgia, but these models are very tempting. The scary part is my new 2024 Goldwing Tour DCT and 2023 Indian Springfield combined would be close in price what you're going to pay to add on all the goodies left off your new bike. But in the end, we only live once and should buy what makes you happy! Take care and if you're ever up around the north GA area (Woodstock) I would love to do some riding with ya'

Robert, even though I don't know you personally, this bike fits you!!!! The white on black is stunning. Congratulations! The only thing I didn't like about the CVO ST's are the footboards. I wear a size 12 and they look too small for me. I would imagine you may feel the same way? I didn't buy last year because I didn't love the colors, this legendary orange CVO RG I purchased is awesome! Enjoy that warm weather in the south, can't wait for it to come up to the midwest.

I’m with you . If you can do it , trade up . I looked at a used 23 RG CVO , They offered me 20k for my 23 RG ST . Then he added 10k more to the price of the CVO after telling me it was 37k . Good thing I didn’t have lunch before I went there . Congrats the ST it’s an awesome bike.

I saw the videos of the bike and fell in love with it till I went and looked at in the person. I started to notice a bunch of stuff that should've been on it being a CVO that wasn't on it. Especially when you consider that it has a MSRP of $43,000 before dealer mark up. When I saw that Harley used a factory rear rotor on a bike that is basically supposed to be their top of the line performance bike it made me question everything. I knew HD would be releasing a performance touring bike to compete with the Challenger but they still fell short. I'll be purchasing an Indian Challenger the spring. Just can't beat the bang for the buck that bike has off the showroom floor. Thanks for the video.

Love the content but to each his own. I’d go with the 23 with no hesitation. VVT, smoother power band at lower revs, heated grips, rear speakers, etc. Also prefer the platinum color over 24 CVO and CVO ST colors. Matches my riding way better than CVO ST. Thanks again!

#11 engine guards, with my 20’ CVO I go on road trips and mount my highway pegs there to stretch out. I can’t imagine riding without them now. I hope Harley doesn’t change them for all the upcoming bikes. For your precision riding I can see that they are value added but a lot of us enjoy riding comfortable

No they didn’t change them for all the models. It is an option. And I agree I need my highway pegs. It was the first thing I noticed. I will be getting some that mount to the floorboard frame.

I can't wait to see these two bikes race in the quarter mile. I predict a tenth of a second faster, maybe two, if that. There is only a 25 pound weight difference between the two bikes, mostly due to the stereo speakers in the bags and amps on the 23 CVO. Ive seen videos being posted already of these bikes on the dyno, and a stage 1 VVT has more power. The stock air filter alone is an extra 10 horse power for the VVT...it really holds it back. Don't get me wrong, the new CVO ST looks badass, but it doesn't make me want to trade my 23 CVO in for it. It did give me some ideas to make my 23 CVO look a little sportier by adding Ohlins suspension, bar risers, and lighten it up with a lithium ion battery..etc. For me, my performance bagger is a 2023 Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak with 170 HP and 500 pound weight. But for touring, the new CVO is really what it was designed for and does it well. Congratulations on the new bike.

In other words cvo buyers should have a buyers customization input catalog. Catalog should be based on highest requested style mods and of course each catalog tailored to SPACIFIIC STATE🤔

Informative video! No doubt about it, that's a sweet bike, I love it. Although, If the whole idea of a CVO/ST is a fully customized factory performance bagger, I would love to have seen Harley take it one step further and put a high output 135 in it. I mean heck, if they have a $6000 paint option on the regular CVO, it would be a no brainer to pay a little extra for a true Milwaukee monster, I would be totally into that!

I did the 135 upgrade on my’23 SG ST and I’ve been wondering the same thing ever since the Reveal last month. Or at least offered two options. One “ST” the other the “ST EXTREME “. I love the 135. My wife has a 131 on her RG S. There is a significant difference between the two. But both are fantastic.

The CVO ST is amazing! The suspension is far better and the carbon is a nice touch along with the engine, wheels and brakes are just better. I got to ride one at my local Harley event and absolutely fell in love with it but the sticker price is crazy. I know it’s inspired by race bikes but I’d have to throw the bag speakers or throw in some aftermarket DD 8” subs in the bags because long road trips and being able to listen to so good tunes at speed is necessary for me. Also I’d have to throw on some different bars and get a 2nd seat with a passenger seat and a tour pack for the lady on long rides all of which are simple and easy to take on and off. But hopefully I can save up some cash and sell my current 2020 Road Glide I will likely bite the bullet and scoop up the ST because it’s that good. Also the newer dash is killer compared to the dash before these.

At the end of the day I would never again add slip ons to any of my Harleys. It’s a waste of money. A full 2 into 1 on the cvo st like chrome werks would be 10 times better. More power and lighter.
