There are some people who manage to lose weight without any help. I go to the gym and there are always a couple of trainers who walk around and help us in doing the exercises correctly. Of course I could watch KZbin videos, but none of my friends go to the gym and there is no one who can watch me and tell me if I am doing it correctly, or if my back is straight while I am doing a plank. I could look at myself in the mirror, but my perception of a correct exercise might be wrong. I'd rather rely on a professional figure.

3 is actually bad advice. Most trainers are $100 to $900 a month. Most people can't afford one, if they don't have the means. It's not a cheap thing if you can't afford one. It's that simple. If you can afford one, then hire one, if you can't then that's fine. Become your own trainer. There are videos on KZbin that would help you complete a workout effectively. Also listen to upbeat music and follow the rhythm of that music can help, also set a goal and put that goal on a timer. Let's say you want to do 100 pushups in 2 minutes. It can be done, start timer and work at it, but go at a pace that works with you. Don't go too fast that you won't feel the burn. You can get to 100, but it may not be that day, if you can only do 50 in two minutes and you've done your best than the next time set the goal to 60 and above and repeat pushing yourself further. If you lack discipline to complete the workout and don't have the means for a trainer, invite a friend to workout with or to motivate you. If you lack the support then purchase workout videos. $40 is cheaper than $100 a month. Be sure to do some research. Some workout techniques may not work with you. So Bright Side, or whoever is this narrator, please don't guilt trip your viewers. There are a few flaws in your video. #3 is the biggest one.

Julia Longo ~ It's the endorphins (the feel good hormones) that can give you the great feelings following a workout. That's one of the primary reason why the experts say avoid exercising within a few hours of bedtime. But, I guess any workout at any time is better than no workout ever. I used to go.about 4:30pm to 5pm. I would have worked from 6:45am to 3:30pm and allow an hour to commute home stopping at the YMCA for an hour or so, go home, eat a light dinner, clean house, do laundry, change my bed daily, have a quick shower, and be in bed by 8pm to 8:30pm. I worked an hour away from home as a nurse. The YMCA had an awesome key system. The trainer would go through my workout regime and then incrementally increased my workout, if it was too much, they would change it back. The key made the equipment less intimidating because the key would remind you of the settings I used last time. Like seat adjustment, weight level, and any other personal adjustments you need to adjust to get max results. I have never found a system like that since. I used the YMCA because anyone who did physical therapy there got 3mos free.

FS J you shouldn't stretch before a work out you should do some light cardio to warm up...if you stretch you put your muscles to sleep and that is bad before exercise
@mahmudaali7 жыл бұрын
That is not right..Stretching before a workout is pivotal for preventing injury as well as improving performance. Especially if you exercise right after waking up or if you're sedentary during the day, your muscles are going to be tight. When you sleep, your muscles lose tone and fluid tends to pool along your back. Stretching helps to massage fluid gently back into the normal position. One study showed that stretching 15 minutes before a workout can help you avoid injury. It most definitely will not put your muscle to sleep. And stretching is part of warm up. "Static, dynamic, and pre-contraction stretching are all effective methods of increasing flexibility and muscle extensibility"-" collected from International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy". "For a general fitness program, the American College of Sports Medicine recommends static stretching for most individuals that is preceded by an active warm-up, at least 2 to 3 days per week. Each stretch should be held 15-30 seconds and repeated 2 to 4 times."-collected from "International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy".

plus its annoying and rude in a smaller gym, imo, to slam around the weights. having control, and lifting the right weight, will stop you from dropping them. to me, it looks silly and full of ego, or, it looks like you aren't doing it right, if you're slamming and dropping your weights
@michaelnotelly42917 жыл бұрын
Courtney Smith the idea is you get more from doing the work out slower, furthermore it isn't as rough on your joints from to much repetitive motion if you are looking for muscle mass use a weight that you have moderate control over to increase mass if you want tone control yourself your body responds well to workouts when done correctly posture is everything muscles naturally run in a direction if you work a muscle with poor posture you end up shaping your muscles incorrectly.

Working out on an empty stomach is far superior for some people so that is def NOT a fact! My most incredible workouts came from doing it first thing after waking up besides if you use pre wo supp they get absorbed much more rapidly so the energy is insane and you not only can complete your work out you can actually go much longer at higher intensity, add bcaa to the mix as in intra and it hands dowm will be best for most people rather than whole foods prior.

You even said to take pre workout suppliments which is a cop out since its primary goal is to energize you regardless of eating or not.

3 - learn to be your own coach. This builds your mental strength as well as your physical. The ability to push yourself past your comfort zone is a very valuable skill. That being said it is important to be humble at the beginning and take your time to learn proper form. Also - *after strength training - don't stretch!* It will increase your recovery time rather than decrease it, as you are only further creating tears in your muscle fibres that will have to be rebuilt.

One of the most important parts of an exercise regime, especially running, is wearing the correct supportive footwear.And I don't recommend buying cheap or, from the Internet, unless you are absolutely sure the shoes will fit you the way they need to and for them to be perfectly comfortable.

"Sports drinks with electrolytes" Actually, I have to say something about this. While I think it is true that it is not always good to drink those sugary drinks, I also think that there are times when your body literally NEEDS you to. On hot days especially, your body easily gets dehydrated and water is not always the best solution. Yes, you need water but when you are drinking cup after cup... Yeah, you need the electrolytes and the sugar. My mom discovered this when she ran a 6 mile run on a hot day and only drank water. She got heat exhaustion and had to go to the hospital. She discovered that she needed the Gatorade. Other times I have been close to passing out from those exercises because I refused those drinks as well. I would when you doing long extensive workouts that it would be a good idea to drink things like Gatorade. Though every time you workout is definitely not a good idea, your body needs the sugars and the electrolytes and not just liquids.

Gym's not really for me, I like training in groups or sports involving balls better. Having people to play/train with and/or against is very motivating for me. Also, my main target is being healthy and not looking extraordinarily muscular or slim.

Some of these points are grossly understated if not misrepresented and the images they're putting up don't help either.. no this isn't being snowflakey about it either I happen to have a very fine and average body at 6ft 165lbs but objectively speaking they're trying to simplify certain dietary standards and give false representation of regiment and image. Couldn't have gotten any better than telling you to eat avacado and salmon, get a personal trainer and have an ectomorph body type if you're a female and an endomorph body type if you're a male. Problem is there's too many variables to all of these problems and it doesn't just start with "make sure you work up to 30min. Of cardio!" I could get further into this and I reaaaallly don't want to oversimplify this but to start people off is figure out YOUR caloric needs.. what can get you from point A to point B in your daily activity.. going to the gym now isn't going to help you if you're a desk assistant as a living and living for the gym should be a subjective choice not a mandate for proof of "living". Regulate and reduce said needs over a period of MONTHS yes you heard me MONTHS. Nothing is worse for your metabolism and well being than outright plunging your caloric needs in some 5 week program and throwing your body into survival mode.. you'll put back the weight faster and you'll likely destroy what was left of a young and fast acting metabolism for good. Lastly and I know this'll sound preachy or some social justice bs but YOU WILL NEVER HAVE THE BODIES YOU SEE ABOVE BECAUSE THE HUMAN RACE EXISTS ON A SPECTRUM OF BODY SHAPES DETERMINED BY GENETICS, EPIGENETICS, AND EVOLUTION. I might be an ectomorph but then again I float too much on the average scale to be truly skinny and that's ok. I'll build what muscle I can working construction and stay in shape by just being active.. I know my own caloric needs and I don't need to go to a gym constantly to ratify this nor will I ever be as "pumped" as the guy in the video without chemical help.

Julia Rodriguez I just hate false imaging.. not that the people in video have "fake" bodies but expecting everyone to look like these "paradigms" is just silly and the regiment they've put down is oversimplified and inefficient. You gotta know your body and how it works not just take everyone else's word for it.

I could never get motivated to workout.. until I got a *Samsung smart watch* and a decent pair of *Bluetooth headphones.* Now I work out four times a week with no problems- I set my calorie burning goal to 300 and switch on some club music, and I don't stop until I've reached the target. The results have been amazing (I've lost 1 stone in 6 months), and I've not stepped inside a gym once! The headphones really help block out the sound of everything else and the smartwatch is also great for counting steps and allowing a good amount of cooldown time, because you can see your heart rate gradually decreasing on the monitor. I keep stretching or walking on the spot until it's back down to where it should be (almost at a resting heart rate) then stop the workout. It really helps prevent injury and keeps muscles lean and healthy if you cool down properly! I mean c'mon who's honestly got the money to spend on a personal trainer 😐 Even gym memberships can be super expensive, so save yourself all that money and go invest in the above! (I also bought a bar bell because I believe weight training is more beneficial than cardio, but you can stick to cardio if you're on a tighter budget)

I learned in my anatomy and physiology class that you should eat you carbohydrates before a workout because they are turned into sugar and used as energy. After a workout is when you should eat your protein to restore and get back any of the muscle you used during a hard workout.

#3 Fitness trainers should be included in your gym membership, if a gym doesn't have a fitness trainer than you should have an idea what you're doing or just look for another exercise place (boxing, mix martial arts, swimming, sports) or just freaking go for a relaxing walk with your friends/pets/family. Morons paying $50 a month for a gym membership and another $100 for a guy telling you to workout.

To be honest, I am paying for my PT sessions because my body deserves to be fit and healthy and I love it AND because my PT is a very knowleadgeable motivator who gives me tips, a proper vegan nutritional program and new workouts every month as I do 3 sessions a week. Depending on what I want to achieve (fx.: doing vertical splits while keeping the position for x seconds, jump high enough to let the skipping rope pass through x times, etc.) she is guiding me through and making sure she gives me the necessary push when in need. I am happy to pay for this kind of outcome! It's not about the membership + PT services, but the experience and another goal you achieve through! Plus, you can always try to hire a good PT who owns a small studio in their house = no gym membership ;) This is what I do. Just saying. We both are entitled to our opinions.
