Please forgive me.... honestly trying to help. When visiting and exploring the islands with the wobbly boots. Lol . Ocean legs. Please smother yourself with a good quality insect spray. I used bushmans friend. Get so sick from midgie and mosquito bites. Some islands you need snake wraps around your shins. And sea salt soap. What a difference that made. You both are truly living life. Please Please Please keep your videos coming. See.. I'm now paralysed from the wast down and bed bound or wheelchair. Gess your videos help me more than you will ever imagine. God bless you and keep you both safe. Regards Darren

I lived in the Marquesas in Nuku Hiva with my father and brother in 1970 for seven glorious months. I went to school and attended church every Sunday. The women would play bingo in the afternoons by the waterfront. I will never forget my time there. Thank you for bringing back these memories with your lovely video.

Yet another stunningly beautiful film from you two wonderful sailors. I am moved to tears by the soft gentle nature that you explore with such calm and easy manner. Thank you both so much for freely sharing these amazing places and experiences with us. I am currently battling some serious health issues but I too share the dream to sail to Fatu Hiva. With luck, my voyage will start from Europe this summer and I will see how far I can get. Peace and love.

Since discovering this channel several weeks ago, I have been looking for similar sailing adventures covering other parts of the globe. Disappointed to find that no one else comes close to doing it as well as you do. Every aspect of your presentation is a cut above anything else that I have found. Thanks for sharing your adventure and your talent with millions of us who will never get a chance to live it as you have.

Outstanding video! I think you are seeing the Marquesas in a way few cruisers ever do. Not too many turn around and sail to windward to see the other islands. Great photography and editing, you don’t spend much time talking at the camera, narration is much more effective. What an incredible place and amazing people that you encounter along the way.

Daniel’s Bay, the snapshot nabbed my attention, as I’d recognize it anytime! I had the blessed honor and absolute enchanting delight of skippering a schooner, (87’ gaff schooner Kai U’lani) from Sausalito to Nuku Hiva, and surrounds, in 2012.. way to go you guys! Excellent choice of life to live! I thank you for your footage, and imagery as a reminder of that life which I too remain enchanted with such elements of! I currently reside aboard my 40’ Phillip Rhodes yawl, DREAMER, and as I claw for the requisite legal tender, I seek such tidbits and reminders to keep me dependably on-point with such goals in mind , as, as a spiritual thing, I never tire of these blessed and enchanting adventures! To life! Cheers, -Cpt. Loyal Tarbet

Great video! I visited Nuku Hiva in 1968 on the way back from Tahiti to Hawaii; returning from the 1968 Transpacific to Tahiti. There were yet no roads then and far fewer buildings. I returned in 2003 to a much changed place. Also visited Fatu Hiva. I’ve long thought that Fatu Hiva looked like an island designed by landscape architects, it is so archetype. You are presenting long range cruising under sail in a wonderfully real way. Glad I found you.
