@EnglishWithAshish3 жыл бұрын
Hello, Arnab! The first doesn't make sense. In the second sentence, it's working as a gerund phrase. HAVING is working as a causative verb there.
@haiderps43 жыл бұрын
That was a tremendous video Ashish. If a sentence has only one independent clause and multiple phrases of any kind attached to it ,( infinitive ,gerund ,partciple, prepositional), which are very common in English sentences, Does it still count as a simple sentence not complex. For example this sentence from your lesson, Having been fired fom the job, She started to look for a new job.
@EnglishWithAshish3 жыл бұрын
Glad you liked it, Haider! We need to have at least one dependent clause and one independent clause in order to have an complex sentence. You can have multiple phrases in a simple sentence.

Hi Ashis. Your channel is very detailed my friend. I'm reviewing some grammar. Now, can we use the perfect participle to show contrast? Like when we use although or even though? Something like this: Having watched the trilogy more than three times, I don't know why I can't make memes out of it. I mean to say even though I've watched the trilogy more than three times, I don't know why I can't make memes out of it.
@EnglishWithAshish3 жыл бұрын
It doesn't work here. It generally works as the cause of the main clause. Having watched the trilogy more than than three times, I decided not to watch the fourth fight.
