This young man would easily qualify to take the prize of the human powered flight. He has some sensitive sensors to measure all the actions and take the correct measures required. He is a natural scientist and he feels his way through the action. He has perfect harmonious motion and synchronises his action at the right phase either to fly or to ride and extract energy from the wave. He is a talented young man and I am sure that his school or parents or whoever can assist in his education, he would be supporting a young man with special talents. He would be a great assistance if he would permit others to study his natural automatic control system as no technology can equal that as far as I know. Congratulation to this young man and to the person who respected him by taking time to record this action. Well done.

L-Tuned Is300 Thanks for the encouragement, but I had an incident when I was 18 years old, right after the second Jaws movie, on a beach, swimming way out in clear water. I couldn’t touch the ground. I have only been scared like that twice in my life. I made it to shore not knowing and dreading what may have been behind me. I swam so fast and furious, I literally hit the shore on my knees and crawled out. I tried snorkeling a couple weeks later and couldn’t handle it. Ever since then I only get into the ocean no deeper than my ankles.

When hydrofoiling one has to certainly watch out! There has been an accident where a snorkler has been beheaded by some guy riding a hydrofoil But on the other hand: One should definately not swim where people are surfing! I experience it aömost eve4ytime I go out kiting in summer - some swimmers just enter our designated kite-zone and even after being talked to - refuse to leave the area where fast kiters and windsurfers speed along... I regularly show people at the beach near the kite area my kiteboards and my hydrofoil and let them touch the mast and fins which have been sharpened to razor like sharpness by years of dragging them through the sand or ground contact when tide is low ;-) Most react quite shocked and did not seem to know or ackknowledge the danger when swimming in the surfing zone. We do not kite/surf in the swimming zone so swimmers stay out of the Surf zone. Which are marked by swimming buyonts at my local spot.
