Being Injured: That has always been a pretty common part of the practise for me. A little 2-6 month spell where I internalise the processes and movements of freerunning and enact them in lucid dreams while making reflective promises to work more on conditioning and stretching before returning to old habits while waiting for the next injury.

There's a study somewhere showing that solely going over a skill in your head on a regular basis is almost entirely as effective as training the skill physically - like, a 1% difference. I don't doubt the effectiveness of taking a break to go over what you know for a second, especially where an injury might mess with your confidence and ability to do the trick irl

I would like to say that I use that feature on Google Maps all the time. Its much easier to understand where you should turn and where your destination is, if you can actually see it. It allows me to get where I'm going without having to distract myself while driving with a GPS, GPS app, or written instructions. I also use it quite a bit for house/apartment shopping. It lets you learn a lot more about the area around the house and the house's exterior than the seller will likely ever show you online.

Ah... Now that explains why people look at me weird when I used to do breathing excerses on the train. But as someone who does suffer fome social anxiety (not anything too bad) it does help you calm down and focus as it draws your attention to a single thing; Your breathing. It does wonders for just focus. I can focus one something so hard I genuinely forget everything around me, you can offer me a million dollars and I just won't hear you say it untill my focus is broken. I dont even do parkour but even I get distracted by spots that look like theycould be used for it... Perhaps I should start doing parkour at some point too.

Any sort of hiking especially in areas with dangerous insects and snakes can be painful or worse. Tucking pants legs into socks provides a small amount of protection. This also prevents dust, vegetation, and things like ticks and spiders from migrating upward. Long ago people used to wear something called spats that worked far better. As a kid, some high-altitude backpackers were wearing those bands that prevent bicycle chain problems.

My rituals are different for each situation if I’m doing a vault I snap my fingers repeatedly till I start running up if I’m doing a jump I spit on my hand and rub them on the bottom my shoe or I stomp my feet very rarely tho I snap my fingers when doing a jump

MK has such a 'trademark' look. There's a couple of great spots down in Bletchley, but quite a few ParKarens too.

jeans tucked into socks was a hip hop thing back in 2003 ish as well. it prevented your baggis from draggin over the floor and if you had nice shoes you wanted to show em off.
