I wish I had a spot like that to train at. I'd be there all the time.

That first half about when we started out training took me back down memory lane of having to train alone for several months before my friends took up parkour. That was an interesting time!

Thanks youtube for suggesting me a quality video of my actual sport instead of some 2009 math lesson. p.s.: Controlled Descent is a masterpiece!

Awesome and encouraging video. I live in the US, but I have only ever once met others to train with in a single city, and I no longer live there. It's a lot of lonely training. Thank you again for the helpful advice.

Well, after sometime you get used to it and don't care about people anymore and if still bothers, hearing music helps and if you are worried about your phones or ear buds falling from your ears, use ear hooks ;) just discovered them and they are perfect, cheap and don't hurt your ear, best thing ever for solo training.

Great insight on the benefits as well as risk to solo training. Another aspect I really like about solo training is that it's all on you. You have to think of the challenge, you have to work through it and you have to commit to to it all on your own. Also where is that spot it looks gorgeous to train at!

I love how your solo training video is filmed while training with others. Solid advice though, definitely follows my training process. I usually do a ton of reps while solo training

Thanks for the video. Good advice - but that place you’ve found! I just haven’t seen anywhere like that near me. It’s like it’s made for it, plus doesn’t look like many people pass by there.

The thing with parkour in my town is there are like 4 others who do parkour so there are a couple times I train with someone but usually it is just solo sessions

*Try wireless headphone/ earbuds. Listening to music can help you with training alone.* *It helps with staying focus and not distracting by others in public. Plus not hearing other people helps but do be aware of your surrounding still.* This only helps so far though. You should change your mindset for the better.

Very nice. Watched this right after a solo sesh. Under-bars were my goal today as I've been scared of them since a mishap. I managed to do five good reps of the smallest scariest one at the park.

sickkkk. I'm gonna explore dealing with fear and overthinking in a future video probably because I've been running into that issue a lot too

Honestly, watch Ronnie Street Stunts for how to find spots. He has some good videos on that, and on using only simple objects. Usually I have had to make due with local parks that are a short drive or bike ride away. Wish you the best out there, man. Keep training.

@@nomadicwolf6132 thanks man!! That video was a lot of help. Like he said in the video it’s hard to train by yourself but I don’t have anyone to do it with. But that video really helps.

Used to feel awkward at first... but now I don't enjoy training as much if there aren't people around. It makes me feel like a world class athlete when everyone else looks & thinks, "Wow, how can he do that? I would fall off of there & bust my head. Crazy guy." Well, when there's a fire, a rabid dog, or a psycho behind us, this crazy guy will get out of dodge, & while they will be... canon fodder. Their glances are fuel. Silent dares not to slip or fall. And when you inevitably do, an unspoken challenge to land gracefully & try again.
