@@Robyn18737It was based off an older I6 Mercedes engine chosen by a team of German engineers that Toyota hired and the cylinder head Yamaha. I believe. A lot of people don’t know it’s essentially a German Japanese venture that was successful across many platforms. Same thing as bmw but Mercedes specifically based engine. You can see the old Mercedes engines making crazy power. But the cylinder head perfected it with motorcycle technology from Yamaha. Why it sounds the way it does.
