There's no reason to apologize re time involved in the trial-&-error process. Seeing you actually do those steps enables us to realize the importance of being prepared and diligent. All too often people show an unrealistic overview of their process. Your end-result is indeed stunning.

All of the videos I’ve seen (and there are many), I see them using mica pigments, alcohol inks & acrylic inks to get the petri feather effect. I imagine you could test that using acrylic paints. Another youtuber mentioned it’s time lapse during curing the resin & adding the alcohol is what makes the feathering. I might test it out and post my results tomorrow. 🤔

Let me tell you a story about lighters. In 1973, Bic introduced their lighter. They FLOODED the radio with commercials that included a limerick contest. They gave the first two lines and wanted you to complete the rest. It went like this: "I once knew a pretty good trick, That began with a flick of my Bic, Da da da da da da, Da da da da da da, Da da da da da da da da da." Every time you turned on the radio, you were guaranteed to hear that commercial several times. Having had enough, I submitted my own contest entry, that went like this: "I once knew a pretty good trick, That began with a flick of my Bic, I wish you would quit, With this Bic-flicking sh*t, The commercial is making me sick." I didn't win.
