5:53 I really like those shower rooms. Particularly with the storage shelf, with fiddles (raised egdes) to stop things falling off. It looks like it has plenty of room to be comfortable. Anyone that's used a cubicle with not a lot of elbow room to avoid touching the walls, can probably identify with appreciating when there is plenty of room. I would prefer rainfall showers for public showers, and we all know that some people are going to be touching the shower wand with their private parts and might have STI's. Here in Ireland, private homehold showers are normally wand showers, while public showers, (like in swimming pools and sports clubs) are normally rainfall showers...presumably for that reason.

@@travelloveranna Sexually Transmitted Infection. I've heard some nasty stories about how they spread. Doctor John Campbell is a retired nurse in England, with a PHD in respiratory research in medicine. He made a video on a British medical report on the spread of a new STI called "Monkey Pox", but there are loads of other nasty things out there well before that. It's just about keeping yourself as safe as reasonably possible. Not to live in fear of these things, but just to make precautions to avoid unnecessary risks.

@@travelloveranna a lot of the ferry reviews are really similar/repetitive tbh, but I still watch them for the relaxation, the views of beautiful Japan, and the personality of the channel host. The ships interior seems similar to the ferry ships here in Irish waters, but just with not nearly as many vending machines, but normally a restaurant on one end of the ship, and on the same deck, a bar / restaurant on the opposite end. The European ships are slightly more ornate in decoration. Lots more woodwork carvings and stuff like that. But overall, similar to this ship. The shop on European ships I think here generally quite expensive. Presumably because they know that they are the only shop on the ship as opposed to on land, where there is competition.

Personally, I think I would love to travel Japan by ferry. It might be the slowest way to get around and the tickets can be pretty expensive for a one way trip (depending on what class of cabin you want). But no other form of travel can offer the ability to just wander around the ship, use a onsen, or have pretty good food like a ferry. I also have to admit I really like Sunflower for that added touch of the staff waving good bye to every leaving ship. You are at the mercy of the weather more than other forms of travel (well, maybe air travel...), but it depends on the person as well. Is sleeping any easier on a train than a ferry?
@travelloveranna
@travelloveranna 2 жыл бұрын
They are very sweet, right?haha I didn't see the staff waving good-bye for other ferries :/ only Sunflower staff! I tried some ferries and if you can have a room that is located to the closer to the middle of the ship, you hardly feel the waves. but if your room is on the edge (right or left), you feel more waves and hear the sound. So, if you can book a room in the middle of the ferry, it's easier to sleep on a ferry than a train...just my opinion though.
@blktom
@blktom 2 жыл бұрын

Gloves at a buffet at least in my part of America was normal for about a year. Hindsight might be a good thing if we kept it going forever. I don't know how the international media portrayed America at the worse of Covid. But regardless of state gloves at a buffet, or mask a few minutes while shopping where just fine with the vast majority of people. It was all easy to do low effort, and potential high reward to pass up.

Pre Covid never thought about it honestly. But many American states to reopen, or keep open buffets. It was mandated to start putting out gloves to use while placing food on your plate. Looking back gloves on while putting food on your plate seems like a great idea. I don't know if it matters to much. But a low effort extra layer of protection doesn't seem all that bad a idea having experienced it. As things go the stereotypes of Americans food buffets, do exist for a reason. 8(

No wonder your video just went so fast? It's so light! I suggest a little weight to prevent your shot from getting jumpy and jerky.

5:50 I generally use toilet paper to wipe the top of the toilet seat and put another's layer of toilet paper over either just the back, the back and front, or the whole top of the toilet seat, because every now and then you'll find urine on the men's toilet seats, despite having urinals available. As a young man working in a bar, or just using men's toilets generally, I've seen men ignore the unused urinals entirely, not close the toilet cubical door and then not just stand and pee down the toilet, but in the general area of the toilet, so on the floor, on the seat, and in the toilet, and then leave. All men can presumable relate to using a toilet after some other guy peed on the seat and the floor. Plus, when you drop your pants to poop, you don't want them to hit the floor incase they get pee on them. Let's just say I've been tempted to start fights or tell staff, but didn't because it's hardly ever worth it. This is why I prefer private ownership over communinal use. Because when you own something, it's your responsibility to take care of it, and you don't have to pay for someone else's carelessness. Sorry if this came about as very negative. I mean it as a lighthearted comment about men's toilets in general. Mostly they are very clean. It's just the first time you accidentally sit on some other guys pee on the toilet seat, will make you want to wipe those toilet seats down every time you use a public toilet. I'm guessing that some men are just too insecure about their penises to use the urinals and/or a habit from using toilets at home. Sorry if that was too much information

Please, please, move camera much slower when filming panoramas - jerky stuttering video is a result of fast panoraming. Perhaps, filming in 60p may help. Also, cash register in a bus worth filming - I have never seen outside Japan any machine counting coins and giving change so quick.
