Right there at 41:00 is my place. Yes, that's a riding lawn mower. We used to use it to disk and drag for a little food plot just past the camp. I'm glad to see the tree by the steps has not fallen yet, I have not had a chance lately to get up there and get it down yet. It don't take long for a place to get to looking like that if you're not constantly up there taking care of things. Quick edit. I'm glad the neighbors sent me the link, I now know that my barge boat went back under, and killed the end of the dock. Going to be fun driving a few new posts for that. If you'd have carried up Matchez, you'd have come up to a fork to the left at Jose Creb, and might have gotten a sight at the gator up there we call the Guardian. He's a rather big boy. That creek would have taken you up to the entrance to the two Chippewa lakes, well...if the water'd been a couple feet over the bank.

In St. Louis there's a park next to the Mississippi with an overlook and a bench. I used to cycle over there to watch the barges. One day I heard a roar from the south and here comes a giant tug pushing massive barges six across. It didn't seem physically possible. Quite a sight.

I’ve been wondering when you were going to make a trip to Mobile. I work at the Shipyard where you saw the Trimarans, They are called Littoral Combat Ships (LCS). They build the modules for the ships down the road close to where the USS Alabama is, then they go to final assembly to be stacked into the ships you saw, then from there down to the Vessel completion yard where you saw them moored up. Would have been cool if you could have saw Middle Bay Light house out in the bay, but not sure how bumpy the ride would be in the mini skiff.
