Love the vids of Mr. & Mrs. Right! #adorable ! Welcome to being an artist, Rob. Every true artist has scraped more than one canvas. Its not a failure in any form or fashion. Its just hitting the reset button when the paint does its own thing instead of what we see it doing in our minds. I admire you for your courage to try something new & way outside the box! Who'd have thunk it? Great video & I love & admire that you shared it with us even though you ended with a blank, "reset" canvas! Keep up the great work-both of you! ♡♡

It’s nice to see the mistakes along with the triumphs! It just means you’re human. Besides, just seeing your creative process & yours & Saskia’s relationship is enjoyable enough!!!! BUT, if you want to try this “experiment” again, maybe use less paint so the pattern on the tire rolls better, or put the paint on plastic or another canvas & roll it on the blank canvas in 1 (or several) directions, OR try pouring the paint down the tire while it’s sitting over the canvas, that way the paint can either drip off the tire onto the canvas, or it can run down the tire a little, before you roll it across the canvas...this each color finds it’s own groove within the tire’s pattern to go down. Just a couple thoughts to add. 😊

Hey don't get discouraged Rob, I never get "TIRED" of watching your videos mate! You go where no one else dares, an imaginative mind is a creative one. Then using a decorators paint roller, roll another colour onto the tyre itself then roll over the coated canvas leaving the tyre tread mark! I feel as though I'm trying to teach my Grandma how to suck eggs lol... please don't let this hiccup stop you from making more videos of you showing us what can be possible if we try hard enough! Maybe if you did the dirty pour on a piece of plastic then run the tire through it to pick up the color. Put your negative space color on the canvas and run the painted tire over the canvas. It'll work kind of like a dip and should give you some unique patterns.

@@RobLSmit update: I'm a curious type guy myself, so I tried it the way I was thinking. Didn't work. Although I used a moped tire instead of a car tire. There was only a little tread that actually touched. I did find that the only paint that gets on the canvas this way is where the tread is not at (the spaces). It might still work with a car tire because more tread touches and therefore there are more of the spaces. Oh I just had an idea while I was typing. What if instead of running the tire over the canvas we run the canvas over the tire. The canvas is lighter and you could put less pressure because of it. I'm going to go try it and get back with you.
@mamalbug5 жыл бұрын
@@RobLSmit my second experiment was much better. Dip the tire in the pour and then put the canvas on it. You have to remember to use a light touch so as to not push the paint off from where the tread touches.
