These are beautiful. But since you don’t like the sparkle with the feathering, maybe the sparkle could go on the back side. Then both sides could be fancy.

So, I consider myself an alcohol ink/resin intermediate at this point….im HOPING you catch THIS comment, as you don’t seem to have caught the last one. You MUST MUST MUST MAKE SURE YOU SHAKE EACH INK BETWEEN EACH AND EVERY USE!!! You can even NOTICE that you didn’t shake sinker white, because as you can see very clearly, the feathering became MUCH MUCH lighter as the rows went from left to right!! When you buy (& apparently ONLY when you buy the large c-Deeper you’ll receive an instructions packet whereas right at the very end, it tells you basically that you’ll NEED to “suck” out the clear liquid that floats to the top, which you’re supposed to judge by experience, which is difficult when you’ve only just begun working with it. I’d personally say first, REMOVE THE TOP that’s stuck on, without a small fight! Then allow the bottles to sit for at LEAST 5 DAYS, MINIMUM!! Then, VERY CAREFULLY open the screw top. Next, take a plastic “sucker thing” (idk what it’s called, no.), and remove about 2/3 of the CLEAR FLUID that’s floated to the top. ONLY THEN can you really only use just one layer of ink and sinker white. Btw, you wanted to know what the BEST kind of alcohol ink is,….RANGER!!! BY FAR!! Their colors are STUNNING, DEEP, pure, and incredibly RICH! I’ve tried that kamenskaya inks from China and their CRAP! Their “A” line is BEAUTIFUL!! Unfortunately I ordered 4 bottles of that line, and never received a single one….OF THAT LINE!! Long story short, they screwed up the order completely! Had to call Amazon to ask for my money back. Anyway, youre more than welcome to send me a message via FB messenger if you’d like. My business name is Heavenly Expressions by Crystal. Www.heavenlyexpress.bigcartel.com. If you have any questions, feel free! I also specialize in ocean scenes/waves. Took me an entire YEAR to perfect that fail-safe way of creating cells!

I actually liked the second to last one best. It was almost like a mini galaxy! 😍 I think the problem you had with disliking the sparkle was because you didn't think it had enough and added a bit more. Remember that less is more sometimes. Also, you used a LOT more of the Let's Resin inks because they didn't spread as much, which is why the color was more intense with those inks. The black peeking through didn't seem bad on screen, though I know sometimes the image on screen is not true to life. What I really think they needed was a pop of white, pearl or a true silver behind the colors. If you prefer the backs to be black then maybe a touch of paint behind the colors before the second layer might help. OH! Here's a thought; you could add a silver holographic paper to the back before the first layer fully cures so it sticks before adding the black background! Mica flakes (the large ones) might give an effect similar to the paper too. That would probably look awesome with the way you did the second set of inks (forgot their name) because they were slightly more translucent. More experiments would be awesome. 😉

I just want to say that this experiment (in my opinion) was a success! Again in my opinion, the black enhances the colors in the hearts. I just love them 💕. As for the inks, they both Habs great qualities, depending on how much coverage you want. I would utilize them both for different projects 😊 You insole me every time I watch you. Thank you & God Bless (PS. I like the brown 😉)

The coffee bean, orange and yellow were my fav. I’m glad u did that I have those colours and thought what the heck would I use the coffee bean for lol. I did like the let’s resin blues. Christine if you do a bit thicker mold (I had a couple skull (& alien) mold sets from Let’s Resin).. it’s so cool doing a layer or two layers with colors then regular white ..and then do another layer of the colors & add a couple of drops of the deeper white here & there. They turn out like anemone with tiny bulbs at their tips & with longer kelp like designs, from the deep white .. or like Julie says, the ‘feathering’ effects but with longer hairs randomly present. Waiting for the resin to setup is key. After failing with my 1st run by adding inks right away.. I made many more where I put a timer on and did a row at 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 25 minutes, 30 etc.. the longer times are the better results as the inks don’t spread out much. Also after a day I put a very thin layer of clear resin to seal off the alcohol inks and then 6 -8 hours after that, added a black layer. Some of them were like alien planets . Had a few I waited too long to drop inks & they didn’t drop much at all but they still look amazing. We thought the last ones did drop until closer inspection.. but no it was into 40+ minutes but they were all gorgeous. Just wanted to throw that out there so you can make some notes on sticky paper as you go along to mark the times waited 👌😁🌹

Oh gosh I meant to say I was using Casting Resin in the truly great ones! It is from The Epoxy Resin Store- Clear Cast 7050, if you’re in the USA. I also tried Art resin but they were bendy.. I remedied this by adding a very thin layer of clear casting resin to seal and then 6-8 hours later added a layer of black, in the casting resin. I have to say the best ones were from 100% casting resin. The art resin pieces had less wait time but didn’t come close to the beauty of the pure casting resin pieces. Some of them were like a Stonehenge theater on some alien planets and were spectacular! I also had some pyramids and poured them only about an inch deep.. those were the ones that looked like the alien planets or theaters.. omg so cool! Happy Arting!!

Do the "hard to squeeze" bottles contain a BB to help when shaking to keep the pigments mixed? If so, that might be the problem- it isn't the bottles being difficult, it is the BB blocking the tip. I have that problem with my air brush pigments. i have to hold them at no more than a 45 degree angle or the BB blocks it all
