Her death is heartbreaking. I'll share this... When I was in my early 20s, I dated a guy briefly, and when I was ready to move on, he became possessive and scary like he wasn't trying to let me go. I told my mother. Thankfully, my mother had a talk with him. She told him I was young and still finding myself and that he should move on. Had she not intervened, my fate may have been different. What happened to that beautiful baby sista brought that memory back. I am so grateful that guy did exactly what my mother told him to do. He moved on. Parents, please be mindful that we as parents must intervene on behalf of our children when they come under attack for wanting to part ways and move on from relationships as youngsters.
