@@NallisnHer mom didn’t “allow” her to walk home alone. Her daughter lied about where she was and the daughter told her mother she was already walking home. The mother called her back to tell her she was coming to pick her up but she was unable to reach her again.

They held it together in court. You could see the hurt on her boyfriend’s face. I do believe her best friend Esmeralda did look for her because she had lied to her mom about her location. They thought she had been in an accident. They went to her last location but didn’t see anything.

I had a friend who was murdered at 16. I just turned 61 and that mofo that murdered her got away with it and is still alive. This family is lucky to have the person that murdered their loved one held respondible. My friend never got that. RIP Carol I still think of you all these years later. I'm so sorry you never got the justice you deserved.

For anyone questioning Susana’s mother. I am bilingual. I saw Susana’s mother testifying. The attorney had asked if she had tried to reach out to her daughter the night she disappeared. While her mother was speaking, the translator started speaking but did not translate the end of the sentence when her mother stated that she had called Susana in order to go pick her up.

The dark night didn’t kill this girl, this monster did. Don’t blame the mom and she’s the one that had this child and is beating herself up every single day. We as parents must make decisions. They lived in a pretty safe area where kids were mischievous just like we were as kids. I didn’t smoke weed and don’t smoke now but I was a devious kid for the longest.

If I a young woman walks in the dark alone that there could be a man that has predator instincts and I could possibly be attacked. If I'm a woman and i go to a night club I could be drugged by a perp do I need to keep going? We adults "parents" need to hold ourselves more accountable because like you said we were teens once and have probably been in scary situations.
