Attorneys are going over final matters Monday morning, Nov. 22, 2021, ahead of closing arguments in the trial of the killing of Ahmaud Arbery.
Arbery was shot and killed on Feb. 23, 2020. Cellphone video leaked to the public shows two armed white men in a truck approaching the 25-year-old Black man as he runs down the road. One of the men, later identified as Travis McMichael, and Arbery struggle over McMichael's shotgun before Arbery is shot and collapses.
Travis McMichael, his father Gregory McMichael and William "Roddy" Bryan, who recorded the video, are all charged with murder in Arbery's death.

Actually the only reason you got the outcome the media told you you wanted this time was because the judge feared the mob and put his thumb on the scale.

@Peter Paz That's the very thing that actually makes him a bad lawyer. Just because you are well-read in the statutes means you are a knowledgeable lawyer but being a good lawyer has to do with how well you represent your client. And this man has doomed his client. So not a good lawyer. But hey let's praise racists and call them good lawyers when the actual evidence we have seen from him says he is anything but a good lawyer. I dunno. Call me crazy.

Gough is the kind of person that goes through life thinking he’s the intelligent one in the room, he’s the one in control of the conversation and how the world perceives him, but in reality the whole world makes fun of his stupidity to his face, condescends to him, and he’s too dumb to even realize it. It’s kind of sad. Reminds me of my step dad.

Any fool can see that Brian was a vigilante when he joined the Mc Michael team; it was NOT HIS BUSINESS, he willingly joined the vigilantes on the pretext of being law abiding . He’s just as guilty and this judge deserves KUDOS, for his calm especially when dealing with this contemptuous attorney. When he was speaking about the BLACK PASTORS and Col Saunders, he didn’t think about TV coverage. The prosecution is doing a fantastic job.

I think he did think of the cameras. I think he was calculated in his comments to get the black community pissed and get people to show up in droves in front of the courthouse. He was hoping to use that as a reason for a mistrial. Folks know that we, at times, act on emotions and he was banking on it. I think he meant it and his obvious consumption of fox news made him too comfortable. I’m so tired of these folks and their need to use the word “woke.” They don’t even know what the hell it means and it’s not a new word. Always a day late.

After this trial is over Gough will no doubt have a career as the new member of SNL. I predict ever other skit is going to be a Gough lawyer skit. I mean just his comments alone: no black pastors; no black Santas, black Easter Bunnies, black jellybeans, Black Friday sales, black licorice in, or near the courthouse is a comedy seen alone.

The difference between this case and Kyle's case is the prosecution actually had a case here. These 3 did wrong. They deserved what they got. They took the law into their own hands without proper information or evidence to backup their view. If you want to compare it to Kyle's case, what these 3 did is what Gauge Grosskreutz, Anthony Huber and jumpkick man attempted to do to Kyle. They tried to take the law into their own hands without proper information or evidence to backup what they heard. I dare any of you to tell me I'm wrong. It is the EXACT same thing.

These motions only show that the defense KNOWS it’s over for them. These are desperate, calculated moves they’re making. They are grasping for straws. They’ve got one goal, get their client off. By any means. That how a “good” (note quotations) defense attorney operates. They are just doing their jobs. Even ol’ boy Gouff😂

Mr. O'Brian hopped in his truck to help and now because he sees they're going to prison, wants to sever ties? He could have stayed on his porch and called the police instead, he wanted to keep running Ahmaud off the road while trying to hit him. Guilty, Guilty ,Guilty! Don't try to separate now!

This case was about Race....the Rittenhouse case was not. Shame on you for making everything about Race. Justice will be served in Both incidents. Had Arberry been carrying a Legal gun Openly and shot these men who stalked him on cameras I believe he would have been found innocent because it would have been self defense also. Justice is blind to color. The issue in MY mind still falls back to that damn Clinton Crime bill that makes it less likely for Black men to have a clean criminal record in this nation and with those criminal records having less likely a chance of being allowed to Openly Carry a gun.......protesting police and burning down cities while electing the author of that crime bill who still Refuses to abolish that bill or erase those criminal records caused by it...... Is insanity.

@mrmosk2011

I agree with the overall result of the trial. I think Bryan could get a lesser charge, if he up front admit the chase and ultimate killing of Arbery were wrong, and not be part of the "team" try to justify the murder, Bryan could state he was mislead by Greg's call for help and unknowingly participated in the events. However, I think that may not have been his choice, because prosecution may had enough evidence to show he was involved in all the overblown background of someone trespassing the construction site. I think the neighbor over reaction by some visitors going through the construction site is the key issue. Nothing even was stole from that house. The owner was more concerned about liability of someone being injured than theft, yet, these people try to imagine something bad must have been done, without any specific evidence. Common sense, common sense.
