I own the bamba 3s and just got the 5s. Absolutely love the lineup of 11 x salomon shoes! Great mix of tech and designer imo. I appreciate the various backgrounds and fits you put in very nice touch

I would love to find out more about the dye process that BBS uses - when you inspect the Dirty colours (ie the dyed ones) it’s amazing that they are able to dye something like a shoe including the sole with that almost tie dye effect. I definitely think going up half a size is a good idea but agree that ¼ size would be ideal. My only gripes with these (low and high) are that the laces are pretty feeble and too long. And the insole is also a bit feeble, especially when compared to the normal Salomons. Great review 👍👏

I tried to look up more on the dyeing process but didn't find much! the dyeing process is very unique and sets 11bybbs apart for sure. the laces could be a tad shorter, I do agree. once they are all tied up, you have to be careful when zipping up because the laces are too long.

They are releasing an all white version this season, tempted to get those and dye them myself. Expensive project though.

Great video Corbin! Those are some sick looking shoes indeed. I'm interested in picking one of these 11 by Boris shoes myself in the future, but I'm afraid of getting them all dirty and worn down (especially when something cost A LOT). I tend to keep most of my things factory new and the thought of wearing something and getting them all dirty (or worse, damaged) can really trigger my OCD problems for sure. Still, I hope they don't completely sell out by the time I became more than confident enough to pull the trigger and wear them while taking good care of them, of course.

Nice video, this was a great in-depth look into these shoes. I have the Camper CRCLR high which are quite similar in form and function but a bit cheaper. I think the Bambas look quite a bit better, though. One nice thing about the Campers is that there are no laces.

Hey Corbin, great video! I know you talked about this briefly but I just wanted to inquire more. I just got the bamba 2 lows, and they haven’t come in yet so this might be pre mature but I’m worried about their trail performance. I got them largely in mind that my hiking shoes are getting old and I wanted a shoe to look clean on the trail. I think while these are expensive shoes, they might look better all dusted and beat up but will they perform ok? The sole to me looked fairly flat and kind of wide at the toe which I thought looked similar to the shape of a trail running shoe but maybe not. I’m planning a very long trip next summer that will include a ton of city walking and most likely several hikes a week, and these are THE shoe I was going to wear… let me know what you think! Might try to sell and try my hand at the bamba 5’s if these aren’t adequate. I do like the 5’s but the silhouette on the 2’s is so much cooler so idk.

Thank you for this great, detailed and honest review. I've been waiting for a review of the low DYE version. Also good to know the paint might still bleed a bit. A bit disappointed as well. Nonetheless a super awesome design I really love. Even would say Bambas are techwear classic shoes. And of course, fantastic fits with the Bambas and your enfin leve and deploy pants.

Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I think there can just be some excess dye that doesn't soak into the shoe, so at least on the soles they should rub off after wearing them outside.

This was actually a really dope video man. Ive been looking at this Salo/BBS collection for awhile. Bought the GTX Highs, ended up returning them because of the plastic laceholders. They seemed not to be very durable and if one ever broke, there goes the whole shoe because you need the perfect laceup on those. Ended up going with the straight Saloman GTX's. But man I still want to pick up some BBS, may have to get these blues.

Does the gore tex on high top stretch out and lose its elasticity after multiple wears? Would you recommend the gore tex or the non-gore tex version? I live in a more tropical type of country, so am debating whether to get the high top or the low top. I am leaning on the high top, but am not sure if the neoprene actually traps in too much heat. Any advise would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Got them last year, specifically the bamba 2 low 'Dirty Reds'. Absolutely love the durability of the traction, silhouette and the different hues of one color. And I love that they're always end up going 50% off. Yeah, the laces are a little bit cumbersome to tuck in everytime you want to use the zip. Also Salomon are so inconsistent, when it comes to sizing. I feel that they fit half size big, maybe it's just my feet.

For the bamba 2 lows do you feel like you should have stuck TTS instead of a half size up? Most people say to size a half up but some people also say TTS so idk. Making sure i know what size to get before purchasing
