This won't be available everywhere, but me and the wedding party got ready at the CUTEST bed and breakfast. It only had 3 rooms for guests to reserve, so we reserved all three rooms for the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding. Only my husband and I stayed there overnight, but we got ready there and also had breakfast there. It was the best experience ever and was such a nicer vibe than a generic hotel. I also checked ahead of time to verify there was enough parking for everyone. Highly recommend looking into local bed and breakfasts if you can!

Def would do an AIRBNB over a hotel room, we did that when I was a bridesmaid and it was great having so much space for suitcases and hair products 😊

My only issue with airbnbs is parking. Typically they and their neighbors have gotten so strict. If I have 7 bridesmaid, plus my mother and MIL, makeup artists, hair stylists; that’s a lot of cars and there’s not a lot of Airbnbs that can handle that many. Of course carpooling/ubering is an option but just something that ppl miss sometimes.

I just have to say I love your channel! The KZbin algorithm delivered your videos to me before I knew that my boyfriend was thinking of proposing, and now I watch every week. I’ve also begun telling others. Great stuff! May 2025 bride here, and I think our budget is going to be very similar for around 100-ish people (we think), here in the Bay Area. We have five teen and young adult kids, and three of them are providing music or DJ services free of charge. We have two photographers in the family who insisted on shooting the wedding at a reduced rate. Our venue was only $2,100 for 12 hours. And I went with caterers who are looking to expand in our area; they came in right at budget.

In kiddo's defense, this grown (alleged) adult can also be motivated by cheese 🧀

My wedding was free including ceremony on top of a mountain at a ski resort, the reception at a different venue (which is owned by my in-lawn’s friend) and my family that flew up for the wedding stayed at the ski resort (which at the time, my father-in-law owned half of the resort). My mother-in-law was my wedding planner, the pastor’s wife of my husband’s church was my wedding coordinator, and my husband’s church at the time decorated everything and cooked all the food and my mother-in-law baked mini individual tres leche cakes for the reception and baked our personal cake to cut. Everything that day was just amazing. During the time on the dance floor, family and friends blessed my husband and I with financial help to have an awesome honeymoon and we were gifted a stay at 2 different Airbnbs. I loved everything that people did for us to make our wedding day special and appreciate them so much. ❤ P.S. - everyone that pitched in to help with the wedding did everything with their own budget or knew someone personally that, who knew my husband when he was a child, to make our wedding happen.

Is the spreadsheet available to use?

Just curious about the getting ready thing, why don't people use their homes? I'm from Zim and we generally get ready at home then go to the venue

@infjandcoping4614 I'm sorry I wasn't clear in my initial text. The bride, mother of the bride and bridesmaids do get ready together in the same place. But it's usually at someone's house, like you pick one central house where everyone comes together to get ready

Hey Jamie, question: In your videos where you go through budgets and talk about stationary, I've only ever heard you mention save the dates and invitations as included in the stationary budget. Wouldn't a seating chart and place cards also fall under this category? (Maybe you skip them because when you're on a budget I guess you could also cut these things if you needed to, but I was just wondering because I don't think I've ever heard them mentioned in your budget breakdowns at all).

I think she considers these "signage" rather than stationery
