Nice job Max! Referred here by another ham with a moxon and I really like the set up. Makes be think about setting up a mast base for several different portable and semi portable set ups in the back yard. Will be incorporating some of your techniques for sure!

Good video Max i like the minor adjusts you have made. This video just shows how easy you can build a moxon well..(if you have the ability to build like ourselves). I can assure u these are are one of the best beams to use on 11m base or portable. I have had mine up on a rotator on my roof for a good few months now and never had a problem (and always good S reports 5/9+ when prop is open, using low pwr) As you say the moxon is definitely a good antenna for swl as the pic up signals well because off there triangular shape. All complete now, just waiting for prop. Was a pleasure for me and 102 to build. 73’s 108AT103

Good video Max, i have been using a wire Moxon for years for portable and homebase they work very well and the rejection is fantastic, I use 4 fishing telescopic fishing whips and it weighs next to nothing.

A good unit and well explained. thank-you! An ideal antenna for one band like 11metres. I might have a go at one of these.

Great video. How critical are the rod lengths after you've measured out the wires to the correct lengths?
@MaxMountainWorldАй бұрын
The lengths of the rods was the final adjustment to have the shape, angles and tensions correct. I have a few Videos on the build and construction, measurements and use. Cheers

How many watts will that antenna handle and can you talk on regular CB band with it and 40 below and 40 above
@MaxMountainWorld3 жыл бұрын
I have tested it with 500watts and no issues. It tunes SWR < 1.7:1 25.8-28.0 mhz so your 40 Ch +/- no problem. Thanks for Your Comment. Take Care, Cheers

do you have schematics for the hub? also where did you source the poles?
@MaxMountainWorld Жыл бұрын
The original hub came from friends in Scotland. My more recent one used hoover pipes cut to size. I have no schematic but the important part is to keep the 40deg/140deg angles. The cheepie fishing rods from sports shop did the rest. Have a look at my other Moxon set-up Videos. Cheers
