Justice League Arcade definitely had my interest more than the other cancelled games. It looked like a good balance of addictive, fun gameplay and fan service. It could have been DC's answer to Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Such a shame it never made it out.

These games are way cooler than the Marvel Comics cancelled games, I honestly would have liked the Justice League and The Flash the most and the Green Lantern screenshots look really good for an early 90's game.

Justice League Arcade looks very inviting to play. Shame it got cancelled. Would there be any chance of more "Developer Spotlight" vids in the future? I wouldn't mind to see one of "Psychnosis". ^^ Love your videos!

Yeah, that looks like brilliant fun! Yes actually, after three years the Developer Spotlight series will be making a return. I'm doing an episode on Treasure. Been working on a Psygnosis episode off-and-on for three years, so hopefully it'll be finished eventually! They just take so long it's not really viable to do them often. Thank you very much!

I've played the Justice League Arcade game and it is pretty good, cutscenes are still in storyboard format with game dev voice over which is hilarious but the story is solid enough and that combat is great for the time.

Can you do a video on cancelled game franchises before any first installments were ever finished, likely titled "Game Franchises Doomed from Birth". Some examples include EA's Shadow Realms & Rockstar Games' Agent, especially the latter as Rockstar recently removed Agent from their website.

@@onaretrotip a few possible ground rules for that possible video wouldn't consider for that list would be as follows: 1. Games that never secured a publisher aren't allowed. You already covered most of them anyways. 2. Indie games self-published by the developer are omitted. 3. Games that had a demo released that never had any further content for a full release that never developed further beyond a demo, and mini game releases by developers that have Patreon page. So for example, DragonSnow's Dazed wouldn't be considered. So in other words only franchises that never were from major game publishers and maybe even minor game publishers only. Hopefully this would help out that video.

Yeah boy, _Justice League, Gotham by Gaslight_ and _Superman: Blue Steel_ (never knew that had a subtitle. Always just called it "Factor 5 Superman" myself) all looked super promising, but for me it's Bottle Rocket's _The Flash_ that stings the most. I never played _Splatterhouse 360_ so I don't know how good they were around that time (I only ever played _Rise of the Kasai_ from them), but holy crap does that look like a blast. You're right in that the super fast running powers in _Saints Row 4_ is awesomely fun (especially once you level it up to create wind blasts that blow everything away as you zoom around), as is using the Flash in a game like _LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes,_ so just right off the bat they were onto something with an open world superhero speedster game, but the design of Central City itself looks *so good* - with the vert ramps and rails and big jumps - and makes you think more of a space like _Jet Set Radio Future_ 's Tokyo-To or _Sunset Overdrive_ 's Sunset City or something. Just perfectly designed for skill-based platforming. I wish there'd be a _Sonic the Hedgehog_ game with a big open world designed around speed-based platforming like that! And the bullet time-y multi-targeting combat stuff also looked intriguing as heck. Just everything about it looked super fun, which is extra impressive when it's just pre-alpha and in a shape where it's nothing but block-out environments and placeholder models. I cannot fathom why Warner Bros. Interactive hasn't just told another developer to make that same game - "Just look at this video, and do everything they were doing. Go at it, Monolith or Avalanche or whatever other studio we own that isn't working on a Batman or Justice League game currently" lol. Hopefully someday, the speedster'll get a great game like that was shaping up to be.... Great work and research again as always, man! These are always entertaining to watch, and I always learn things even when I know of the games you're talking about, so cheers to that!

Always interesting to see cancelled games in various states of completion. The one I thought looked the most promising, if a tad generic, was the open world The Flash game. I admit I'm not much of a DC fan and I'm pretty sick of Batman and Superman at this point, but I'd be most interested in a game that manages to incorporate all the craziness from the Flash! Maybe someday! I know about the earlier SMS and GB Flash games, but didn't like either of those.
