I've a question guys, does vacancy defect destroy the stoichiometry of solids? Bcuz when a lattice site is vacant the stoichiometry will get distorted!!

No dear let's suppose we have Na 1000 cl 1000 then there ratio is 1:1 ...then if i remove equal no. Of na and cl then let's say it becomes Na999 and cl999 then also the ratio remains the same i.e.1:1 .. therefore there will be no change in stoichiometry..
