Thanks for the info! I can confirm the cup holder common issue and a tip for 5:47 - there's a manufacturer recall on the coil pack which you can usually have replaced for free 👍

Thank you for the feedback. I know about the recall but even with the new coils i have similar problems within few years of use.

@@D.K.Automotive totally agree. My mk II Octavia RS broke down recently. Distribution chain snapped. I needed another car and I bought a 2003 1.8 t for the time being. But to be honest I think it’s a keeper. 261.000 km and everything works. No rust and great design. I forgot how good those cars were. Already done 11.000 km in only 4 months. Low maintenance costs compared to my other Octavia. In the past I owned one too. I sold it to a friends’ cousin. She still drives it. 500.000 km and 24 years old. It’s amazing. She even doesn’t take that good care of the car. Just using it. So my new (old) Octavia will keep on going. Had some of the same issues as you had. Also some small other things like secondary air pump. Greetings from the Netherlands. Octavia 1.8 t 🥳

Oil cooler is also an issue on these 1 8t 20v.....better to change it at this age of the car!!!

I have this same car with me same colour also i love it. But I have only one problem brother my car is not starting in one self need 3,4 cranks to start up also missing in acceleration can you please suggest what's the issue may be Any ways NYC ride man you keeped very neet man👌👍

Yeah there are some components that musst be checked. I write them down for you but my guess is that you may have a vacum leekage. Anyway th component check sequence must be the above: Electrical conections-engine battery, Engine compression,Air intake system/vacum leaks (probable), fuel pressure -filter etc,ignition system, fuel pump, engine coolant temperature, Mass Air flow (also probable with power loss), and many others such as throttle position, injectors, intake air temperature etc. You must have a diagnostic tool to scan the above sensors in order to check their condition. I hope that i was helpfull. Please dont hasitate to contact for anything else you need.

Yeah we did obd scan but nothing we found in trouble code? Just only the active charcoal box making sound some times only except that seems everything is fine brother

​@@D.K.Automotive thanks for the reply. I have actually 2 problems, when i press the throttle while the car is stopped it does not stop untill 4000rpm. When i turn the ac sometimes it solves the problem. Any idea what's happening? I also have some kind of lag when i press or let the throttle go. The TPS(throttle position sensor) is brand new.

@@marcior.2153 First of all, does the car have a normal engine or a modified one? We always talk about the 20 valve 1.8 t; What year of manufacture is the car? If it's newer, then it works well because that's how it's made. Not to exceed 4000rpm at idle. If it's like the car in the video, then it probably has a custom program. With the air conditioner it does yes, go for sure. As for the lag, does it have the factory turbine? Lag can be due to many reasons. Did you buy it new or used? You have to be sure of what's under the hood.

Even if you don't have any error codes, for example, you have to check what indications the sensors are giving you with the VAG COM. For the fuel pump your mechanic must connect pressure gauges on your engine bay. What is your last comment that you need help with.
