I've been struggling with knee pain from my standup desk because I'm super tall and always lock my knees. I've been trying to remember not to lock them but it's always a struggle. That tip to stand with 1 foot in front of the other slightly seems like it will be very helpful for me, thank you so much

At age 69 I am fortunate to not have any joint pain whatsoever and haven't taken a pain pill since the summer of 2019 when a car knocked me over when I was on my bike (I finished my ride but my bike ended up having a bent rear wheel. The driver got a $200 ticket for not yielding to me). I've lost 40 pound in the past year on a keto diet & so now I am at my weight when 18 and that's even better for all my joints, and my heart as well.

Can you address knee pain for people who had their knees replaced already, but still have problems? I had both knees replaced in 2017 and went to every physical therapy I was allowed. I walk almost every day and I am pretty active, but I am never out of pain. I am really worried about the amount of Advil and Aleve that I take and I'm trying to cut back, but people tell me I walk like I haven't had the surgery yet. And yet there's nothing wrong with my knees!

If you guys know anything that might help for a 50+ woman with MS who has trouble walking, partially because her right knee likes to hyper extend backwards & she can't really control it easily or really even lift it, please do a video on that!

I'm not a doctor but I wouldn't expect exercises to help that issue, perhaps a rigid knee brace would be best.

Hi Drago Nate, time to ask your physical therapist to prescribe a walker, cane, etc. for bad days. Also disability permit from Motor Vehicles, you don’t have to use it on good days you know. But, it’s handy when you have an appointment and you might have to park far away.

I frequently sit with my R knee crossed over my left but worse than that, I anchor my R foot around the leg of the table which puts excessive stretch and stress on the tendons around my R knee. I am trying to be more mindful and when I catch myself sitting like that I unfold my legs.

Why is this bad what happened to knee over toe?
@laurak82403 жыл бұрын
I think you meant the first poor habit was sitting with knees bent to an angle less than 90 degrees, not more than 90 degrees, that is, if the angle is drawn by the upper leg and the lower leg, with the knee as the vertex. Your demonstration of the bad habit (putting the feet farther under the chair) looked to be an angle of about 45 degrees, which is acute, or less than 90, and the extreme example of Brad sitting on one leg was an angle of about 10 degrees. Later you showed the healthier angle (with feet farther away from the chair), which looked like about 115 degrees in the first position and about 100 in the second. Those are obtuse angles, greater than 90. Sorry to be picky. I just didn't want someone who didn't watch the whole video to get the wrong impression of how they should be sitting. But congratulations on saying lie down rather than lay down, Bob! Teachers are grateful. Anyway, thank you for all the time you spend making videos. They have helped me with my knee and hip pain a great deal for several years!

My purse weighs a pound or less. I've told my sister she has everything but the kitchen sink in her giant purses.
@stevec38723 жыл бұрын
Years ago I worked as a security guard at our civic arena & took tickets at the front door for concerts & was required to check (take a peek) in the women's purses. This woman came in with a purse the size of a saddle bag & claimed she had nothing in it. I looked & it was full of enough things to keep her alive for a week if she was caught in an elevator. A little person could have been carried in that purse.
