12 Day of Vlogmas Chocolate Toffee Chip Cookies Day 4

This evening, we're baking up some chocolate toffee cookies. I've never tried this recipe before, so let's see how these turn out.

I love Heath bars. They didn't have to be pretty to be delicious. I had a quiet day. That is a very interesting story. I love holiday traditions. I would love to see a candle holder collection. The cards are sweet. I love the snowflake. Have a wonderful week ❌️ ⭕️

I have thought about the way the cookies turned out. I believe it was not putting them into the fridge. Like with biscuits if they aren't kept cold the butter won't pop and the biscuits will be much flatter. Just a thought ❌️⭕️

I love Heather bars too, thats why I thought the heath toffey would be yummy in a cookie. They do taste good just very flat.😂 I'll have to try making them again and chilling the dough.😀

Those cookies do look tasty. My cookies come out very flat sometimes too. 🤷‍♀ Yay! You finally got the card! I sent it on Dec. 2nd! Enjoy the ornaments. Sky is laying right next to me sleeping. Love the stickers people added to their cards. 😊

The cookies are flat, but tasty.😂 Thank you for the ornament. Its hanging on the tree and looks right at home.😊🎄 The envelope had a post mark from the 2nd. It must have taken the scenic route.😂 The stickers are such festive touches. I love it too.🎅🎄

Eric, I just made these today. First I used butter and then I refrigerated them over an hour while I was baking another type of cookie. They did not thin our like yours did. They taste great and I'm so glad you put them on vlogmas. I was in the grocery store and saw the bag of heath pieces on sale and thought, why not? So a good report!

@@mariannemeyers Thank you for letting me know. So chilled dough is the key. The directions on the bag make, chilling the dough sound optional. They do taste good. I'll have to make another batch!😀

You know which candle I'm surprised didn't come back, was Raspberry Thumbprint. I thought for sure we would have seen that again this Christmas. The cookies tasted good, just a really flat.😂

I loooove chocolate and toffee. Sees candy used to have a milk chocolate and toffee bar and I've been obsessed since I was little. One of my new faves is the terrys milk chocolate and toffee orange they've had out the last few Christmases. Sooo yummy! I would also add choco chips i always include extras no matter how many a recipe calls for and even if it doesnt at all lol

I love the classic Christmas tree look. In years past I have put tinsel on the tree. You don't see that as often today, but I love it! I do have a small tree in the front window that has all white lights and gold ornaments as well.🎅🎄😊

Vlogmas just gets better and better. Of my many cats, only one was a kitten and they are so funny and fearless! The others came to me grown up. Hooray for cookies and cards!!! 🤗

I think you should have refrigerated them, the butter really spread out when baked. My mom loved crispy cookies so she would have been happy. And pets, I lost my dog in November and am taking a break for a while. I do have two 2 year old cats who still get into lots of things. The look on your face with the cocoa and the cookies, so disappointed. Doesn't matter, I'm loving the stories, the traditions, the cards, and the ornaments.

I was really disappointed on how these cookies turned out. They taste good, but I wasn't happy with how they turned out. I might try to make them again and refrigerate the dough first to see if that makes a difference. Sorry to hear about your dog. They give so much love and then when they're gone its heartbreaking.

Hey Eric, I’m happy to see you got my truck card!!🙂 I didn’t get the truck candle holder either. I really liked it…but the price and…where would I put it?? Made my decision to not buy it. Thank you for the truck Christmas card. It's perfect, its fits in my house! Lol That was the main reason I didn't buy the candle holder. I didnt know where I would find room for it. Plus the price was a bit steep. Cream Cheese icing would be so good on the pumpkin cookies. I need to keep that in mind for the next time I bake those.😀

Thats a lovely story about the candle in the window. Haha i had to laugh about the cookies, they still look good though. I do love those toffee lace cookies. I'm getting ready to make some cookie butter truffles and then i realized oh i have the candle literally called that so ill definitely be using that in unison. Its a pretty easy recipe. Just grind up speculoos cookies with cream cheese and turn them into balls and then dip them in melted chocolate to make it into a truffle. I plan to fill them with cookie butter in the middle as well. :) theyre going to be richhh though!

I love learning about traditions in the past that have shaped our traditions of today. I put the battery operated candles in my windows during the holidays, because they look Christmasy to me. In reality though, they started with a deeper meaning than just looking pretty. The cookie butter truffles sound very rich. Right up my alley!😂

the cookies look like the butter was too soft, maybe if you make them again chill the batter a few minutes but choc chips have alot of fat in them so it could have been the chips, you may have needed to cut back on the butter to add the chips but they look yummy anyway

you should try godiva raspberry choc cacao lol its really good godiva coffee is good too but hubby doesnt like it so we dont get it lol we compromise on coffee

I do love Godiva chocolate. Years ago I used to go into the Godiva store and buy a few pieces of chocolate. I used to love those chocolate shells they had a chocolate pearl in the middle of them. Delicious!😊
