Hi Jen, I’ve been enjoying your regular episodes all year and also your cast on episodes. I am in Ontario and don’t know anyone who knits, so I rely on podcasts for inspiration and information. I particularly like your episodes because I am TRYING to decrease my stash and I also have the similar time constraints that you seem to have…..house, job, pets, knitting, etc. Finding a balance has been hard for me recently….too much work and not enough knitting, so I’ve lost my knitting mojo a bit. In one of your recent episodes, you outlined how you balance your knitting time and “other obligations” by alternating them. I think it’s a really smart idea and I am going to try to balance my life a bit by adopting this practice. I’ll see how it goes. I also enjoy your episodes because you promote Canadian yarn shops and dyers. I try only to buy from Canadian suppliers. So glad to hear that you are getting some inspiration from my videos! It is really tough to balance all of life's commitments. I really enjoy the days at home when I can alternate my hobbies with chores. I hope that you try it out and feel accomplished at the end of the day!

I am doing monthly cast on of socks as suggested by TobyKnits podcaster. Each month I open a bag of sock yarn that my great granddaughter prepared for me as a mystery cast on.

I've participated in the 12 Cast Ons for years and am excited to do it again. This year I think I will Cast On 5 sweaters. I've already cast on a pair of socks - yarn from my advent swap with friends - it comes in, it knits out. I have a light fingering weight sweater on the needles. I have at least 4 more sweaters in mind (and have stash on hand for). I had been trying to get through my WIPs

Oh five sweaters is a great idea! I'm doing three for my 12 cast ons and then I'll see if I want to cast on any more through the year. Most likely I will.

Morning! I am only on Day 2 of casting on! But there is no rush. I will get all 12 on the needles by the middle of January. I’m still working in my WIPs from last year. Beautiful pullover choice! I love the color. Happy knitting!
