Our Siamese loved Christmas trees. Live ones were wonderful for climbing, so we had to anchor them to the wall. She liked artificial trees as well. If it were a less expensive model, she would sit under the tree for hours, pulling needles from between the twisted wires that made up the branches. Ornaments had wonderful potential. If she could get them off the tree unbroken, they made great toys. After several years, we learned what type of tree we should put up and where we should put the unbreakable ornaments. In other words, it took her about 3 years to train us properly.

Our Jack knocked over two small trees in our room and then last night tipped over the main one in the lounge room. He had been doing all right but I think the temptation was just too great! 🐾😺😸🌲

The tape one reminded me of the very first cat I ever lived with on my own. He loved to lick anything with adhesive...cellophane tape, envelope glue, stamps...and for some reason, he liked the envelopes and stamps best if they had been used first!

Cats versus a Christmas tree is always a thing at Christmas. But you gotta love it! It’s like they are telling you, “hey, you brought this Christmas tree in here. What did you expect?” I came home once and the tree had been knocked over, ornaments everywhere. Cats are funny. “Glad you are home. The tree fainted.” 😊
