Love these people who say why not use an automatic or orbital welder. A good welder can weld much quicker than the time it takes to set those things up. I worked in a place that bought one for stainless steel tube. Magnificent machine. Sat in the corner unused for years. We could do 8 butts a day and the machine about 4.
