If you ever wonder what skate shoes to get, I rlly love vans shoes and usually ride them bc there super comfy and feel the best, the only downside is that they tend to wear down a little faster. But if you want to get a pair that will last the longest I STRONGLY recommend Etnies. Ps always get the skate pro vans shoes not the normal ones

So instead of having a skateboard backpack, because they will eventually break or get worn out and you’ll have to drop another $50-$100 every time you need a new bag, there’s a thing called a “Deck Hook” which really easily clips onto any backpack and holds onto your board without you even having to take your bag off, so all you need is a bag, and your deck hook, and you’re set 👍

Spray-on plaster! Seals and disinfects the wound and gives you double the pain. Also, special tip: teflon spray, so the upper side of the shoe does not grind that heavily on the board and the shoe lives longer.

I've always kept a full first aid kit in my backpack. It always comes in handy. Alcohol, tweezers, gaze, tensor bandages, slings. lol So much gravel and glass pulled out. So many rolled ankle wraps. So many gnar hand/arm injuries. Oh on that tip, Gloves are a great thing for skaters. No more cold concrete slaps and cheese grater concrete shredded palms.

Because I am skating some vert, I basically always wear pads and a helmet even when skating street. You just get used to it. But a thing that a lot of people miss is a mouthguard. I know a bunch of people who have had some teeth or Jawinjury and a mouthguard can prevent a looot. Just try it.

I have been wearing shin guards for about 3 years after a very bad injury and I can't skate without them anymore. It gives me confidence so I started to skate flat rails and did other tricks on the mini ramp that I never tried before. I'm 42 and I have been skating since I'm 11.

For the first aid kit, i normally just bring a small backpack with some bandages and something to clean the scrape/cut. I'm currently teaching a friend how to skate, she fell and scraped up her knee and legs pretty bad. she cleaned her scrapes and bandaged it up, she was fine and ready to go again. my advice is to just get up and walk it off if you can, after that clean it and bandage it up. the last thing a skater wants is a infected cut/scrape, they hurt like shit

it's helpful to note that you can find pretty small first aid kits that have everything you would need at a cheap price at wal-mart. I keep one in my backpack that I bring to every skate session. A lot of times just knowing that I have it handy just in case provides comfort and confidence in my skating.

Nah, parafine wax does _not_ work the same as skate wax. It tends to crumble more, which means a worse coverage on whatever ledge or flatbar you're using it on. You're going to need a lot of parafine, even when at first glance it might seem the same. And with skate wax, a little goes a long way anyway. You'll get your money's worth for sure. Last but not least, a good choice can also be the Everslick decks that allow slides without wax or putting some rails on your skateboard.

2 of my local skate parks actually have them if you poke about. Both of these skate parks have bbq spots and a playground right next to them and the power outlets are found in the bbq area and there are a few on light posts right in sight of the ramps. I use a portable charger on my speakers and phone though but if my portable charger is running low and i have heaps of charge in my devices, ill go charge my portable charger there as if that goes walkies i wont cry as much as my phone or blue tooth speaker did.

Even though Camelbak is somewhat overpriced, my carrier from the Marine Corps., that also has some backpack room, has drastically saved each and every session since I learned how to ride. Adding rails to the sides of the bottom middle part of your board can make it easier to board slide on a rail and if it breaks in the middle then the rails will keep it together

I'd like to add mini backpacks to this list for us ladies who skate, I prefer them over an over-the-shoulder purse and they're way more secure and don't come off if you're going hard. Most have a pocket up front and that's usually (where I keep my skate tool) also I like to carry chapstick and a bandanna as well especially if it's cold

I bought a bunch of spare parts when I got into the sport. I do a good job maintaining them before a session. A portable charger is on me. I carry an insulated water bottle to hydrate during riding I also have a skate tool just to tighten or adjust for the ride. A multi tool isn’t a bad idea either. I have smaller med kits in my car but since I long board to my destination a med small med kit would be smart.

If you ever wonder what skate shoes to get, I rlly love vans shoes and usually ride them bc there super comfy and feel the best, the only downside is that they tend to wear down a little faster. But if you want to get a pair that will last the longest I STRONGLY recommend Etnies. Ps always get the skate pro vans shoes not the normal ones

If I'm going out with my friends I just bring an interchangeable bit for a screwdriver and my adjustable wrench. Those tools have done wonders for their boards.

I’m new to Skateboarding(bought one today)and I have 1 friends who skates aswell so he is teaching me,I am using my Adidas Trainers that I use and they are great,and my board seems pretty good to me and him,I’m going to skate as much as I can,everyday after school I’m gonna get out and skate,practice makes perfect
