jean you should do the next one on maintaining spirituality

hehe hi Andrew good to see you :) hope the family's all well. I do think that we have it very easy on the spirituality end by the lifestyle we have chosen - away from city pressures, in nature & quiet, mindful activities. The real challenge is to maintain that mindset of equanimity whilst surrounded by the chaos of big urban cities like SG! thanks for the idea!

As an investing enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?

Yes, a good number of folks are raking in huge 6 figure gains in this downtrend, but such strategies are mostly successfully executed by folks with in depth market knowledge

Truly enjoying becoming more minimalistic. I am currently doing a decluttering challenge with friends for November. Its amazing what we accumulate. I am trying my best to be mindful of what i need and what I bring in. Its very tough.

its actually pretty habitual and i think the tough bit is shedding the habits we've unconsciously practiced for most of our lifes for new habits :) - all the best with your minimalist journey!

Definitely resonated with me. My tech free time is when I do my morning walks and meditate after I am back
@JeanVoronkova
@JeanVoronkova Жыл бұрын
thanks Justin - morning walks plus meditation after sounds wonderfully soul-healing! love it. We go surf a lot without the phones - so that's a good 4-6 hours tech free most days. I have loved cutting down digitally - it makes my mind feel more nimble again. Too much tech deadens my thoughts i feel.

Great vid because getting started his the first step. I remember starting this someone had mentioned, "...only keep what is valuable, what is useful, and an item you truly love..." For most the first and third will need most consideration. Jean refers to this as a journey, so true because the habits develop over time so beginning and believing and you will get there with her perspective. Thank you Jean, well done!

I personally loved getting rid of however many items in a month so for example the 1st one item and so on and so forth until 30 where you get rid of 30 items for that day. It was so helpful to me and I did manage to get rid of a lot of unneeded and unnecessary stuff. Thanks for sharing.

OMG ! I just watched your Aha Trang videos & took notes on places to eat & even asked u a question. But you're not there anymore ! Is Bali cheaper than Nah Trang? I really love this "minimalist" = downsizing video. I try to live by the rule of 3. {But, there are 4 seasons where I live, & . . . I'm a vain & weak "fashionista."} I really like you empty box idea. My goal is to star scouting out places where I can live during the winter months Nov-Feb. That's why I'm looking at as many videos as I can find about Bangkok, Pattaya, Da Nang & Nha Trang. Da Nang, to me , seems easier to travel in & out of. I can't afford to retire for at least 7 more years. I'm trapped in the "grind" & realizing "The American Dream" was never my dream, & now it's gone & died ! ! ! Peace, Love & Blessings, David

Hi David, glad our videos are helpful to you. Yes if you're planning to retire and relocate eventually, minimalist habits will definitely be very useful! You mentioned Thailand and Vietnam and maybe you can consider Indonesia as well - that's our personal favourite, as you can see from where we hv settled haha. 7 years can go by really quickly - just prepare step by step and you'll be there before you know it!

Hi jean thank you for your tips I’m hoping to start moving more in to minimalist lifestyle as from Monday’ this year I have got rid of many items I was almost in the category of a hoarder I couldn’t get moving with clutter I’m very happy to say I have reached a happy goal but theirs room for improvement before the end of this year’ so I’m going to start again what feels like round 2 diet exercise and making some organic beauty products for my personal use just finding a more organic natural way of life I could not have done this without you help along with some of my other channels I watch I actually feel like you are all friends to me with great guidance and advice I’m forever grateful I do suffer with low moods and this affects my motivation but I’m hopeful as I know I can turn to your videos along with the other videos and find encouragement and strength to change my life for the better ‘ coming from a broken place to hope for a future thank you so much 🍂🪴🦋

Hello Jean , im an avid follower 👋 .. your vlog inspire me to continue and thrive on my slow living new phase of life . I worked in a bank for 26 years ( my first) and early retired at 47 and living what matters most in life . Sometimes I still get questions in my head if my decision is right coz i am still young and my mind still active and of course the downsized living. May I know if you also went thru this feeling sometimes ? You are a lawyer and u cant simply turn ur back on it with such a prestiged profession. GBU ❤

I'm surprised her husband allows her to minimalize and declutter the house. My experience from living with men my entire life is they tend more to be hoarders than women, and love to fill up every space in the home and garage, and give great resistance when it comes to throwing useless items away.

@@JeanVoronkova We left our hotel at 5 am. When we got to the parking lot below they take you in little buses for 45k Rupiah per person then another 55k for entry. They provide the attire necessary for entering the temple. We were number 89 in the line for our picture. They do a great job of getting good shots on your phone. Then there are 3 steps that go to the top of the temple that you can take shots on. Not a lot else to do there so you must really want that Gate of Heaven shot. Our grab driver took us to a working Rice plantation. That was a great stop and well worth it. Another 250k plus for the tour and the driver was 500k.

Ha, I'm in the heavy process of #2 (unsubscribing), just cleaning up my inboxes, the newsletters I've been subscribed to for ages, probably removing 90%+ of my youtube (and other) subscriptions, moving over all my stuff to a RSS reader where things will fade away naturally if I don't process them, etc. It's never seems like too much time at any given time, but all these combined add up to so much time that I can't wait to have this cleaned up.
